oh thank God it's not forever. There was nothing on the error screen that notified me I was banned that told me how long it was(since there was nothing on there saying otherwise I assumed forever.)

Certain characters not Italian =Absurd

It's one thing on the forums, but SiFi keeps taking off edits that state that Mario, Luigi, Wario, etc. are Italian characters. Please do something I know that you know that that is crazy. I know there is no way you agree they they are not what they are supposed to be. Why do they care so much to prove that they are not what they are?! This ain't about starting no fight with the minority of editors that seem to think that they are not Italian when they are. Before I joined this wiki, I had no idea anyone even disputed this FACT. Please step in for the good of the wiki. For the good of the wiki, and this is the best place to get Mario information in the world. You have authority tell them to leave my edit calling them Italian characters alone.

Well Blitzwing you are a sysop and you have authority over me so i'll stop saying that they are Italian characters. But I was worked up over it because, clearly, they ARE Italian characrters. I just said Mario, Luigi, Wario and Waluigi were Italian because that is what they are supposed to be. I didn't say Peach or Donkey Kong were just the ones that clearly are. I'm gonna look for a Miyamoto quote where Miyamoto officially says it. It's gotta be on the internet somewhere. On a side note, how can u say that it is not a fact they are Italians. The only thing those characters fall short of doing is wearing a sign on their backs that say it. If Nintendo made a black character would you need an official source to say he was black? There is a stark difference between proving a black character is black and that a black character is African American. The only evidence I've ever seen about Mario being Italian is in his various voice actors interpretations. In fact, I believe this all started with the Super Mario Brothers Super Show, as I have seen no texts or statements indicating Mario's nationality.

Regardless, Blitz and Garlic are correct, you need to show proof for your statement, as we have currently have a lock of sources and an abundance of opposition.

Further, if any of the articles caught in this crapstorm become edit-wars, I, and I hope other sysops as well, will temporarily lock them. -- Chris 23:18, 27 March 2008 (EDT)

There are several published Mario hentais, the most popular (and easiest to find) is the Mario RPG one. It's only around 20 or so pages long, but is hilarious to read. As for 'official', no. One of these events involves inviting special guests to write a special section. We discussed a list of possible guest writers to invite, and you have been selected as one of them.

Since this is a very special event, the subject of these special sections does not particularly have to pertain to Mario or the wiki, although it can if desired. Should you accept our invitation, our only request will be that you make your section contain appropriate content and that it be well-written, of decent length, with acceptable grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Sections may be accepted by the Director and Sub-director until May 18th, 2011.

According to current policy, talk page proposals run for one week from creation before being closed. This particular one was open for over a year and was marked as unresolved. Bureaucrats decided to side with the majority, which was for delete. As for the talk page, I'm not sure of the preservation process in use when a proposal is involved, I'll ask other staff and get back to you. -- Chris 20:26, 16 March 2014 (EDT)

I believe current policy is that TPPs run for two weeks, as per Rule 3 on MarioWiki:Proposals. I'm not sure whether the year was wrong on the TPP for Sun, but I remember Glowsquid making it only a days ago. Yoshi876 (talk)

You are correct, I misquoted the policy. What confuses me is the dates don't line up. The proposal and all votes I saw were listed as taking place this month, but last year. From what I've seen, pages are usually tagged with a to be deleted tag to draw attention to the proposal, the wrong template may have been used though I'm 100% sure. Yoshi876 (talk)

Checked log, you're half right. I did delete a page named Diamond, but it wasn't an article, it was an improper redirect page. The content was nothing but a redirect to Diamond (disambiguation). -- Chris 23:19, 30 June 2014 (EDT)

The issue I have with SonicRetro is not the fact that it's linked to the MarioWiki, the issue I have is CLEARLY how poor a quality the link actually is. Hello. I learned that you are this wiki's representative to the NIWA's something. I'd like to ask, is there a rule that NIWA member wikis should link to each other as much as possible? We should cross-link for topics we don't have specific pages for and then to NIWA wiki pages over wikia. Our general cross-linking policy follows our general linking policy of "first mentioned, first linked". So, yes, those links should be updated. -- Ghost Jam 17:46, 21 May 2016 (EDT)
