:::That is true... it's not like he just fell from a balcony or something. The fall nearly killed Mario, too, but he was saved by the Star Spirits. The problem with that theory is that Bowser was alive and well in ''Mario Tennis'', ''Mario Party 3'', and ''Mario Kart: Super Circuit''. Maybe the release date order really doesn't mean anything. Actually, that sounds like the best theory I've heard aside from the False Bowser one. I guess what I'll do is leave it like it is: the False Bowser theory and a side note about how this game may be at a different point in the series. Breaking the Fourth Wall in LM
Guys, this is just a theory; I don't know anything for sure, so it's a theory... But I think there's a good chance that Luigi might break the Fourth Wall in one of his GBH comments. It's possible, right? So... could someone search some of them in the game? --Dodo
- What? You mean Luigi's Mansion? My Bloody Valentine
it possible ill check when i have nothing to do cuz it will take a while vruet1Mr.Vruet info|talk|chatp.s. yes its luigis mansion
Unlockable Page
Should we make an Unlockable article? We have all the other Game Mechanics, so, I just thought this would be a good idea. My Bloody Valentine
- Yeah. We have Category:Unlockables arleady so why not... Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back!
Go ahead. It's an awesome idea.Knife (talk) 21:52, 2 August 2007 (EDT)
Hiatus Templates
I made this page : Template: Vacation and Template: Gone
Just telling ya 'all in case i wasn't allowed...
(PS: i'm gonna be absent beacuse i am too going on vacation ......... to the pochonoes! -- WarioLoaf (talk) 09:58, 3 August 2007 (EDT)
- Wow, those are pretty good. XzelionETC
- I made Template:Userhiatus
HUD=Heads Up Display
A little heads up in case you're blind: I redid the Featured Articles page. Its got a little humour in it, so what? The PAIR page was extremely dull and make me depressed it was so serious. Ergo, I was a teensy bit lighthearted on the new page. Hope you all like it!SaudyTalk!
Company Infobox
Do you think an Infobox for the Companies sounds good? It could have the name of the Company, the logo of the Company, when it was founded, its first Mario game, and its last Mario game. More could be added, but I wanted to see what others thought. My Bloody Valentine P.S. I'm not very good at Infoboxes :P
Character Type Categories
Do you think a Category: All-Around Players or Category: Technical Players, etc. is a good idea? There would be more than in the Crystal Stars Category. My Bloody Valentine
- I'm not following. You're asking if the Crystal Stars should be split up into character categories? -- Chris 00:10, 6 August 2007 (EDT)
- No. He's saying different types of players in sports game should have a category per type, and each category would have more articles than in the Crystal Stars category. DP: My only complaint is a character isn't always one type for all sports games, Yoshi is speedy in Superstar Baseball but All-Around in Hoops 3-on-3. Wa TC@Y 00:12, 6 August 2007 (EDT)
- Don't worry, I thought about this. Just put Yoshi under both the All-Around and Speedy categories. Simple as that. Also, Balanced will fall under the All-Around Category, Playmaker will fall under the Technical category, and Offensive will fall under the Power category. Is that OK? My Bloody Valentine
Ok Banners Update
My new banners were accepted in proposals and I have archived the proposal. Now all I need is for someone who can edit the main page to place the new images there. Fixitup File:MarioLUIGIbanner.PNG File:Peachdaisyoshitoadbanner.PNG File:Wariowaluigibanneer.PNG
- Porplemontage (talk) said not to change the banners for now so...yeah. XzelionETC
- Don't be shy X. Steve said straight out Fixitup's banners are worse than the current ones. Wa TC@Y 22:24, 7 August 2007 (EDT)
- Well actually I posted this Before Steve said that... XzelionETC
- That would be my reasoning not to have them changed, wouldn't it? I don't like them as much. Three people liking them more than the current ones doesn't exactly make the change official. --Steve (talk) 22:35, 7 August 2007 (EDT)
- I like them, why, what's wrong with them? My Bloody Valentine
- They are nice, but they scream at a person a bit. -- Chris 22:42, 7 August 2007 (EDT)

Our current "mixed styles" banner approach that has some Wikians concerned was no accident. This was done to showcase the various forms, graphical and game-wise, that our heroes have taken over the years, and to imply that the wiki covers all aspects of Mario. From the general hardcore Mario game of the knowledge base banners, to the more casual game as seen in wiki stuff. And let's not forget the various action-packed sports games, as displayed by the external links banner. "The art styles vary because we cover it all, and don't you forget it." Thank you. --Steve (talk) 22:50, 7 August 2007 (EDT)
- Er, good point. My Bloody Valentine
Uhh OK! Maybe you people should have been checking the proposals when this was up for vote. anyhow can someone tell me who I need to get in contact with about these? Fixitup
There good but, you forgot Bowser!?!?!?!
- Bowsers not in Itadaki Street (as far as I know) and the rest of these pics are from Street so therefore he'd stick out like a sore thumb. XzelionETC
Look guys, forget it. Even though the proposal went through, Steve has vetoed the proposal (which I guess he has the right to do). Banners are staying. Wa TC@Y 14:37, 8 August 2007 (EDT)
- For the record, though, Fixitup, they are dead sexy. You got skillz. And, yeah, I'm probably not alone in thinking the current banners look messy and fanpage-ish. Yes, they accurately convey the varying styles, but they each have their own... somethings that I can't help but notice everytime I see them. If you want to know, I find the black marks on Mario, Luigi, and Toad weird. ...and the Peach and Monty Mole one to be... unbalanced somewhat. I can't put my finger on it. Whatever. You get the picture. I guess what I'm saying is that Fixitup has neatness down to a fine art, but yeah, more variation would be better, sure. But I like them better. Meh. I've made a jerk out of myself. Stumpers!
So much for a free country. Oh well it's fine. I just wanted the site to come off nicer to guests, but I guess what I think doesn't matter. I'm glad some of you liked my banners. Fixitup
I was pretty sure the whole point of proposals was so that the layman... I mean layuser... could have a part in the beaurocracy. It was sort of like, "If you care about the politics of the Wiki, you should watch the Proposals page," right? There's so much about how this Wiki works that I don't understand, though. I don't even know what Steve does aside from "being leader." But I know he must do a lot more than that or else this site would be on its back growing stuff by now. Maybe what we need to do to prevent this from ever happening again is have some sort of page describing all this. Not just a bunch of wild little pages saying what a "this" is and a "that" is, but like a total picture thing. Whoa... that was long. As per usual, nothing I said up there was meant to offend anyone. Please don't kill me. I'm sorry! Stumpers!
- The only thing I don't like is the second one. The "WIKI STUFF" is too bright. Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back!
DK Games
I was going through the Donkey Kong games, and noticed, a lot of them are very poorly written. Why is that? Anyone here play the DK series? If so, PLEASE rewrite and expand those articles. Thanks. My Bloody Valentine
I think the same people are writing them is the thing. I noticed it too and I was like, "Ok I hope someone fixes that because I know I don't have enough knowledge about it to do so...". Wa Fixitup
I suppose I could expand the DKC games (Don't expect it anytime soon, thought.), but could someone pass me a link to an examplar article on a (Platformer) game? I want to have something that I can base on. Gofer
- Yoshi's Island DS is a decent article about a platformer game. - Cobold (talk · contribs) 11:01, 8 August 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah, those articles are lacking. But, I wouldn't let not much knowledge about the game keep you from rewriting them to be nicer. Sure, you don't add much info, but it helps like crazy. I started the DK article like that, if you wanna take a peek. Like I said, not perfect, but better... I think, anyway. But you need to judge that, of course. Stumpers!
User List
I think we sould have the user list in the community section of the sidebar
The full user list is useless, since like 90% of them are inactive. It would make more sense to link to a list of admins or active users or something.Knife (talk) 00:59, 9 August 2007 (EDT)

Archiving the Brawl talk page.
Hello! Just checking in to ask a question: The Super Smash Bros. Brawl talk page has way more than twenty entries, so I would think that the first twenty should be archived. I don't know how you all like to archive (my way is probably weird... big surprise), so could someone let me know? Stumpers!
- I normally archive my talk page 20 - 30 Entries and the main page gets archived at 20. Also just move the talk page to the archive and then edit page. XzelionETC
- Did it! You may want to check at Talk:Super Smash Bros. Brawl/archive 1, though, just to make sure it's ok. Stumpers!

Something Scary Ads
they should be removed. I mean, we have like 9 year olds on this site! Any support? Max2 (talk)

So why can't he remove them again? I mean, 9 YEAR OLDS! The things have like skulls and stuff on them! Max2 (talk)
- well remember Bonechill, Cortez, Dry Bones, Dry Bowser, they all have "skulls on them" but Nintendo didn't remove them from the game so why do we need to remove the ads? XzelionETC
Max2, I think you're overreacting. Chill. Now. It's not the end of the world. Phoenix Rider
- They're showing up on every page I go to. AAAGH! Edit: I just clicked on it, and I see nothing bad. Just hearts and stuff... (and no not real hearts) Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back!

Then dont edit if your that scared! Full Metal Moogle
OhMyGod. Grow up. Who cares? It's an ad. If you don't click on it, it won't do anything. Afraid of editing because of an ad? Jesus. Phoenix Rider
I can remove specific ads that I don't like. I haven't seen this one yet, though. If you see it, take a screenshot. I need the given URL on the ad to block it. --Steve (talk) 19:42, 9 August 2007 (EDT)
Aw... if it scares him don't yell at him for it. We all have silly things we're scared of. I'm scared of screams, for example. Yeah, that's stupid, sure, but I don't think it's fair to make me live through them because no one else is. :( Stumpers! (P.S. Max--I'm not saying that it's stupid, btw, I'm just saying... you get it.)

.....I'm going out on a limb here, but......I think Max should man up if he can't edit because of a skull.... How did you edit to tell us about the fear to edit?SaudyTalk!
Maybe he should just put a window over the box for the time being. In any case, there's a way he has to change things, so I feel the issue is best left between him and Porple right now. Stumpers!
- I don't believe in that skull -_-. Max stop pretending. Its a dating site!!! Paper Jorge! I give paper cuts so stand back!
I think we can help out Nintendo and ourselves...
Recently, IGN Wii posted an editorial about Nintendo's failure to hype certain games (link), such as Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Whether or not this is true, any Nintendo fan knows that the company is very secretive about its games before they are released. However, with the opening of Smash Bros. Dojo, we've gotten an update every weekday. This has kept the game at the front of many gamers' minds.
I feel that Nintendo would be doing itself a favor by employing similar methods for its other games. Of course, that would also help us as a Wiki in regards to articles about upcoming games. In addition to rumors and things seen in off-screen videos, we would have solid, official data in an organized fashion. Just look at the Super Smash Bros. Brawl article. It's beautiful! This isn't to say we can't make good articles without the official webpages (check Super Mario Galaxy for a really great example), but rather that it would be much easier if Nintendo were more cooperative.
Basically, both sides will benefit if Nintendo were to through us little, official pockets of info rather than forcing us to scower for information that will undergo serious changes at a later date... and lots of changes!
This is where I feel we can make a difference. Between all of our users, we are in contact with the larger part of the online Mario fanbase. If we were to create a centralized effort to convince Nintendo to take this proposed approach, we could really help Nintendo and ourselves out. I highly doubt that Nintendo would be able to ignore countless e-mails, forum posts, blog entries, etc. Sooner or later, we might reach them.
Please post below any ideas you have for getting this idea through, or if you think it's a far-fetched piece of crud, say so also. No point in taking this far if it's worthless. Stumpers! 03:05, 12 August 2007 (EDT)
- 0_0. That's all I can say, 0_0. This is awesome. I never realized, but, the new idea that Nintendo had with Smashbros.com worked wonders for us, and Nintendo. Us, cos' we can get solid information. Nintendo, because it makes us more interested in the game, thus, more sales. Dude, do all you can to get Nintendo to do the Smashbros.com Layout more often. I'll do my part, if I can help. My Bloody Valentine
- I hate to be the negative guy here, but we have very few people active here overall that would be required for Nintendo to suddenly say "let's make a Dojo-like site for EVERY new Mario game!". It would take thousands to convince such a company, even tens of thousands, and we don't even have 100. I would sign a petition if organized, I would love updates for every game as well, but be realistic: Nintendo in all likelihood will reply with a "Thanks for your interest, but we will not be changing our standards at this time". - Hey, don't worry about it Wayosh. I wanted real feedback, not just nicey nicey stuff. I'm really not sure how we can go about doing this anyway. What I would try to do is attack through the Nintendo Forums and try to build some kind of resistance (viva la revolution!) but I'm pretty sure all the fanboys would tell me just how busy Nintendo's web guys are (I swear, they better be doing something else besides what I know about...) or how it would spoil to much for a game like Galaxy or blah, blah, blah. Maybe I should check out the IGN message boards. Nintendo actually cares what the IGN editors think and the IGN editors look at those message boards. Stumpers! 16:39, 13 August 2007 (EDT)
- Never thought about that. Yeah, Nintendo might not want to do that very often. I guess they did this, as it is a Spin-Off so you technically don't get many Spoilers from it. But, I would say, give it a whirl, see how it turns out. This was still a brilliant idea, just, will it work? My Bloody Valentine

What's Our Position on Luigi's Mansion?
I was writing about Luigi's Mansion for the Mushroom Kingdom article and had difficulty deciding where to place the game: in its release order shortly after Super Circuit or at the end of the series? Many of us believe that at some point undiscovered, Mario kills Bowser, who's body was possessed and reanimated by King Boo at the end of the game. This would place the game solidly at the end of the timeline. Others feel that the Bowser was really a False Bowser, which would put the game right where it was released.
I have a new idea. The chronology based on release date is like this:
Could this mean that Bowser was killed off or in a highly weakened state through an attack by the viruses in Dr. Mario 64? Perhaps King Boo could have saved him in return for allowing him use of his body for the capture of Mario. Then, after the tournament, King Boo's plan went into effect and after taking over The Lab, King Boo turned Bowser into a painting for future use?
I'd like to know if this theory is good enough to be added to the articles or if it doesn't hold water. I haven't thought about this much, so any comments are welcome. Stumpers! 01:45, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
- Just say it was a False Bowser. No point in any of that other speculative content. My Bloody Valentine You have a lot of good ideas Stumpers.
- I always liked to think of Luigi's Mansion happening sometime after the first Paper Mario. Having the combined energy of the Star Rod and the Power Platform being ripped from his body killed him (or near enough). -- Chris 02:11, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
- That is true... it's not like he just fell from a balcony or something. The fall nearly killed Mario, too, but he was saved by the Star Spirits. The problem with that theory is that Bowser was alive and well in Mario Tennis, Mario Party 3, and Mario Kart: Super Circuit. Maybe the release date order really doesn't mean anything. Actually, that sounds like the best theory I've heard aside from the False Bowser one. I guess what I'll do is leave it like it is: the False Bowser theory and a side note about how this game may be at a different point in the series. - No problem ;) My Bloody Valentine Go with your newest idea, list it as a False Bowser, but also state the other possibility.
- Nintendo has always given us continuity problems when it comes to Mario. Even for us, it's nearly impossible to accurately map out a timeline when the creators don't even have one. -- Chris 19:27, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
- Oh, whoa... it's like all of my bones to pick with the continuity are right there in that sentence! Nice. Usually, it doesn't really matter with the later games when the events took place, as each game returns the world back to the basic norm established in Super Mario Bros. but... with LM they didn't use that formula... :( Stumpers! 01:33, 16 August 2007 (EDT)

- I always liked to think of Luigi's Mansion happening sometime after the first Paper Mario. Having the combined energy of the Star Rod and the Power Platform being ripped from his body killed him (or near enough). -- Chris 02:11, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
Poll for Splitting F-Zero Grand Prix from Big Blue
As you may know, the F-Zero Grand Prix page was merged with the article for the Big Blue, despite that the Super Smash Bros. Pipe Project states that the Underground Maze and F-Zero Grand Prix were deserving of their own articles, because they were seperate areas from Adventure Mode.
Let the argument begin!
Split the Articles

- Stumpers! One's a stage and one is a side-scrolling level. The fact that they're based on the same theme doesn't mean they're the same, especially if they're called two different things. EDIT: Also, Big Blue is the name of F-Zero's ship. The Grand Prix is completely differnet. It's not just two names for the same thing.
- My Bloody Valentine When you put it that way...
- Cobold (talk · contribs) - Per Stumpers. Though I think Big Blue is a planet.
- Knife (talk) 17:27, 16 August 2007 (EDT) The irony.

Keep them Merged
...Okay then. What say someone split them then? -Dodoman
Spam Red Links
When I was scrolling down the red links list I noticed the words "King Mario" and clicked on the pages it's linked to,and I've noticed that they are on people's previous talk pages (This was possibly "King Mario").Should we rid of this?Mr. Guy the Guy Talk!
Sure, the most wanted page has a lot of red links that don't need articles. Feel free to remove some, especially User links.Knife (talk) 17:29, 16 August 2007 (EDT)
- But if you see a link to a video game or TV show, the writer may be trying to point out a cameo appearance of Mario. In those cases, a simple redirect to Game Sightings would rock. Stumpers! 18:25, 16 August 2007 (EDT)
