Outta My Way is a single-player minigame in Mario Party Advance.

Introduction[edit]

The camera shows the end of the course. It then moves to where the player is located before the minigame starts.

Gameplay[edit]

The object of the game is to reach the finish point of an obstacle course as quickly as possible. Several obstacles that must be removed to continue exist on the course, however; these include Thwomps, Whomps, and Pokeys. The Pokeys roam about a set area and must be destroyed with punches. Thwomps only sit in the player's way and can be moved by rapidly pressing the A Button and B Button buttons. Whomps attack only when the player approaches them, and they do so by falling over. They can be defeated if the player jumps on them, but they get back up soon after if the player does not.

In the Shroom City and Mini-Game Attack modes, the player must reach the finish within a time limit; the player is given 60 seconds in the former and 99 seconds in the latter. Shroom City uses a smaller course, while Mini-Game Attack uses a larger course that is also used in Play Land. In Play Land, the player attempts to reach the end in the fastest time.
