Something's Amist is a Duel minigame found in Mario Party 6. Its name is a pun on the phrase "something's amiss."

Gameplay[edit]

The objective of this minigame is to find gemstones in the fog. When the player's controller rumbles (or a "!" appears if the Rumble Feature is turned off), the player should press A Button quickly to pull a gemstone out of the ground. The trees in the background are looking at the area in which the gemstone is buried. However, the player must walk directly above the exact location of the gemstone, or they will not detect it. Every time a gemstone is retrieved, the trees shuffle slightly, not giving immediate direction to the next one. The first player to find three gemstones wins. However, if neither player finds three gemstones within five minutes, the minigame will end in a tie.

There is a page called "Misty Surprise" in the Miracle Book that features a scenario based on this minigame. Activating the page shows Mario getting a gemstone and Peach getting a Bob-omb.

Ending[edit]

The players run to the middle of the area. The fog disappears as the camera zooms in on the players, the winner celebrating and the loser doing their losing animation. If the minigame ends in a tie, both players will do their losing animations.

Controls[edit]

  • Control Stick – Move
  • A Button – Pick up a gemstone

In-game text[edit]

  • Rules"Hunt for gemstones hidden in the fog. When your Controller rumbles, a gemstone is nearby! Find three gemstones first to win!"
  • Advice 1"Frantically search through the fog for precious gemstones. Watch the eyes on the trees for a hint on where to find the gemstone."
  • Advice 2"If you have the Rumble Feature disabled, an "!" will appear instead."
