History

New Super Mario Bros. Wii

The first appearance of a Remote-Control Platform is in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, where only one appears in World 8-5. The player controlling it can move it on its track by tilting the Wii Remote in the designated direction.

New Super Mario Bros. U / New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe

Another Remote-Control Platform appears in New Super Mario Bros. U and its port in the level Boarding the Airship, where its behavior is largely unchanged from New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It is one of the very few objects that does not return in New Super Luigi U.
