Snowball Slalom is one of Wario's minigames in Super Mario 64 DS and an Action minigame in New Super Mario Bros.

Gameplay

In this minigame, the player must use the Stylus stylus to guide the Headless Snowman to the finish line as fast as they can within 20 seconds. However, there are rocks and snowmen in the minigame, and hitting them causes the snowball to decrease in size and slow down. Touching the Headless Snowman's head also slows him down.

In New Super Mario Bros., the minigame appears as a one-to-four-player minigame. The single-player mode plays mostly the same way, although both rocks and penguins appear, like in Giant Snowball Slalom. In multiplayer, the minigame turns into a race between all players; the first player to reach the finish line is declared the winner. If no one reaches the finish line after 60 seconds have elapsed, whoever reaches the farthest is the winner.

This minigame takes place on Cool, Cool Mountain and has the same background music.

In-game instructions

  • Super Mario 64 DS: "Rub the Touch Screen to roll the snowman's head to the goal before time runs out! Rocks will slow you down, as will touching his head!"
  • New Super Mario Bros.
    • Single player: "Rub the Touch Screen to roll the snowman's head to the goal before time runs out! Rocks will slow you down, so avoid them!"
    • Multiplayer: "Rub the Touch Screen to roll the snowman's head to the goal! The one who gets there first is the winner."
