Oh! Hello there. If you may know me, my name is Ryan, or RAP (pronounced "rap") as my username. I may not be a 'crat anymore (and so does Cobold for a different reason), but that doesn't really stop me from continuing to manage the wiki. Today's world for the wiki there are a lot of things users should be doing, if you have the patience to spot the hidden errors of course. ;o For me, I think my userpage seriously needs a heck lot of cleaning up to do. That includes the sub-pages I still have laying under my control. All I need is to learn more about the wiki syntax so I can focus on better things... by better things I mean the userpage first. Patience my friend... all will be updated soon. If you want to talk to me, go ahead! Talk, rant, question, concerns, etc. I respond to these messages most of the time. Remember that. ;o

Thanks, I really appreciate the comment. Bust-a-Move, eh? Yeah, I've played that one. It was a pretty cool puzzle game. Right now, I'm playing Guitar Hero: World Tour while refreshing recent changes after each song. Yeah, I haven't been going into chat as much as I was, because my internet connection is very poor and tends to drop me from chat pretty often. Yeah, I'm tapping into the library's connection, which is one block away from here. Our internet got shut off a while ago, along with the cable and phone. Not having a phone is kinda nice, since you don't have to worry about telemarketers, and no cable is peaceful too, since there was never anything on. Guitar Hero is AWESOME. I wouldn't recommend Guitar Hero III though; it has a lot of good songs, but the difficulty is through the roof. GH2 and GH World Tour (the newest one) have great songs, and the perfect difficulty. I've never gotten the chance to play a Call of Duty game though; are they only for the X-Box? I remember playing Crash and Spyro all the time back in the late 90s. They were a great way to pass time. I used to love playing the Namco Museum games too. Tetris? I never was good at that game; I usually made it through a few levels and either got bored or died. Oh! Yeah, I use Microsoft GIF Animator. It's free for download, and it's not a trial! It's really basic, but it works perfect for animating sprites. Hey! It's been a while, though I guess the fault is partially mine: I'm notoriously bad at contacting my friends, even if I wanna talk to someone, they have to start it for me. It's one of the unusual things about me XP Things are going good for me, actually, which is a nice change. I've applied to university, finished my giant art project, and all my pets are doing okay (well, Iggy won't eat, but he's always a pain). I didn't get your message until today, but I was on late last night because I wanted to finish the Mario and Luigi's father/Papa move; it's not often I get to do big-ish projects, and I wanted to be thorough ^_^ It's too bad you're sorta alone on the Wiki now - I was feeling lonesome myself earlier, since DP left (or disappeared - I'm not sure what people are saying about it anymore). On the Wiki, I have a few projects I could take up next time I have some free time (like this past weekend), but nothing too spectacular. "Retro RAP", huh? It seems to me everyone becomes more fun when they have less power. DP once told me he became much nicer after his demotion, and I'm sure peope are saying all manner of nasty things about me for removing the "fun" from the old Referata Userpedia. Sorry for not responding faster - it's been a crazy, busy week! That's why I have that status bar, actually: I'd rather spend my free time editing the Wiki, as opposed to chit-chatting. These sort of conversations are fine though: they have more substance than "What are you doing?" "I just got a new game: Mystery Land" "Never heard of it." "It's cool: it has vampires." "Lol, epic." ... I'm just antisocial - I come to the Wiki all the time because it beats socializing in RL XP Yeah, those sorts of big lists do need work; I'm about to embark on another timeline project, so I just hope the Games by Date page is accurate :o I've been going back and forth between here and Wikipedia adding release dates to all the random NES games - it's shoking how many holes there are in our database! That rots about the schedule changes. I've been patrolling, but there's not much editing for me to do either at the moment (I have too much schoolwork to take on any big projects during the week <_<). I think a rule/guidebook would be quite usefull: there's way too much ambiguity around here, IMO. Actually, I've always felt people overappreciate me - I'm really self-depreciative, so I never feel like I deserve kudos or attention, especially compared to a lot of people I know (this applies to RL as much as it does here). Right now, I'm fretting about deletion policies. I really want to delete a bunch of superfluous templates (all they do is repeat what's said in the SMG {{SMG missions}} template on a smaller scale (i.e. {{Gate}} or {{Fountain}})), but I don't think I should just go ahead and do it; however, there's quite a few of them, so I'd have to canvass all their talk pages or create a Proposal, and it's a little minor for that, I feel. I remember Coincollector deleted a template of mine without getting feedback first (though with good reasoning), so I wonder if if I could get away with it too... Sorry for not responding for SO long - I've been insanely busy (it's getting to be the story of my life <_<). I've edited the Wiki a couple times at school; the MWiki confuses my classmates when they see me editing. Yeah, I went ahead and deleted the templates, and no one freaked, so it's all good. There's gonna be a lot more template work now that that policy proposal passed - I can't wait! DP's not ignoring you personally: he left the entire Wiki... I think... It sucks that you're having image problems. If it's any consolation, my pointer keeps going funny when I hold it over links; it works fine, but it looks really weird and I'm worried it's a sign that my computer's hard drive problems are spreading again :o Well, I have lots of stuff to keep my busy on the Wiki, mostly deleting templates in accordance with a proposal everyone else seems to have forgotten. Whenever I have free time at school I try to update the organization standards of the big articles I can't edit on my home computer. Wow, nice drawings; if I doodled on my algebra like that my teacher would behead me. I generally don't redraw the stuff I doodle in my agenda, but a lot of the time I'll redraw the same thing on a bunch of different pages until I get it just right. Yeah, having the rules spread out amongst countless Help and MarioWiki pages is bad enough without having to worry about all the archived Proposals too. Most users don't even pay attention to current Proposals; like that "First English Name" Proposal - hours after it passed and was being enacted people were asking what was going on and saying it was stupid: if they paid attention and voted it would've gone the other way! That's a big string of doodles you got there; my favorite part is still the little bits of math poking through the art: I find it funny (in a cosmic irony sorta way). I don't try to set records anymore; even if I'm above average I can never compete with the best-of-the-best and comparing myself to them just makes me feel depressed. - Walkazo 15:00, 7 March 2009 (EST)

Funny you should say that - in RL, when people look at me for any length of time, I get the urge to kill them (or run away - I don't like being stared at X_x ). Bowselta's violent antisocial like me, so I'm quite happy my doodles of her were able to transmit that vibe. Ouch; one of my RL friends lost her USB Key too. Our spring break was in March; I had to do homework every day and I still didn't finish everything I had hoped to finish. The work's still nuts now: yesterday I had zero hours of free time, and once I'm done archiving my talk page (meaning you're gonna have to make a new header when you respond) I have to go read for three hours (I generally like reading, but not when I have to take stupid notes for English class). Predicament

I'm mainly asking you because 1) Stooben already has enough to deal with, and 2) You're smart and things.

So, I dunno if you've played Wario Land: Shake It or not, but I noticed there is no list of treasures or anything. Which of these options sounds wise...

1) Create a new section on the game article, listing all the names. 2) Briefly mention them on the game article, while linking to a separate article (which has yet to be created) such as "Treasure (Wario Land: Shake It)" or whatever you think sounds better, where I would have all the treasures' in-game descriptions, and I'd have to take screenshots of every one as none seem to exist on the internet yet :/ 3) Do nothing (be lazy) 4) Just have a list on the game article, no pictures. 5) Any other option you might think of...

Sorry to bombard you with all this, but you're a high-ranked User so you'll hopefully have a wise answer.

Small comment

Have you finished on uploading Super Mario RPG images? The last year, I've found an interesting picture of Mario teaming up with Bowser riding the Koopa King from Mario Kart Double Dash. It was unique, because it only appeared in a special edition collectible album from Nintendo Mexico. ¢oincoll€ctor

Hey. I found an interesting page with a lot of data from Partners in Time, specifically the stats for all the enemies in the game as detailed by TMK.com. Interestingly, the stats for enemies are different between the two versions of the game. We could use this information to create a PiT Enemy profile box, just like the SMRPG one. What about GIF

Hi RAP, maybe you want to know if you wish to convert some 2-D screenshots or sprites you can convert them in GIF format, the color quality will not vary, similar to a PNG format picture, but is "smaller" compared to the info of a PNG picture. Resuming, you can save these images in GIF format too, with the advantage of getting less bits - or bytes to use :D ¢oincoll€ctor

Yeah, but as said first, you can use for 2 dimensional screenshots(GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES) - including sprites. I use imageready-photoshop to convert these type of pictures and even give some animations, like those animated sprites I got. Using this program you can chose the quality of the image and remove the "dithering" of the image when converting to GIF.
