Fires[1] (also known as fireballs,[2] firefoxes,[3] and foxfires)[4] are enemies that debuted in the 100m level of Donkey Kong. In most versions, they are depicted as a slightly larger variant of the Fireball enemy that appears in other levels.

Fires make their first appearance in the original Donkey Kong as enemies. They are a vsriant of the Fire enemy, but they exclusively appear in 100 m, and as they are slightly larger than the Fireball enemies that appear in other levels, they are more difficult to jump over.
