View of the second gate

Lightning Lagoon is the second race of the Mushroom Cup in Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit. The race takes place underwater, with the camera having a filter to make the screen blue and slightly distorted to make the area appear to be underwater. Character voices will also be distorted. Its race theme is reused from Toad Harbor in Mario Kart 8. The course's icon depicts Luigi with his Pirate Outfit on the Landship with an Amp on front of him.

Gates

The gates in this race are stylized with coral and shells.

  • Gate 1: Has an Amp on the second to fourth lap.
  • Gate 2: Has Item Boxes on the left side.
  • Gate 3: Has an Amp.
  • Gate 4: Has Item Boxes.
