Blooms[1] are found in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, after Donkey Kong claps near a Bloom Fairy. The Bloom Fairy will then fly in a line and then disappear after a few seconds of flying. The Bloom Fairy will leave a trail of blooms behind that Donkey Kong must catch. Additionally, Bloom Pods scatter blooms around themselves instead of making a trail.
However, Donkey Kong has to hurry before the blooms fall down and disappear. If Donkey Kong catches 100 Blooms in a level, he will get 100 Beats. In the New Play Control! version of the game, doing so gives the player an extra life instead. Blooms appear in every level, except boss fights and the final levels of Cactus King and Ghastly King.
