A question mark[1] is an item in Mario Pinball Land that can give the player a random item when collected. It can appear in every level, including the Fun Fair. If a Star was already collected before, a question mark appears instead of it. It can be obtained first in the Fun Fair, where a question mark appears after the player defeats the Goombas.
Items
Upon collecting a question mark, the player needs to stop the roulette to receive one of the three randomly selected items. The items can be as follows:
- Thumbs down sign (grants 100 points)
- Thumbs up sign (grants 100,000 points)
- 10 coins
- Five Blue Coins
- Double the Blue Coins
- Yoshi Egg
- Mini Mushroom
- Invincibility Star
- Two Invincibility Stars
- Lightning
- Pipe
- Two Pipes
- 1-UP Mushroom
- Boo (deducts half the player's Yellow Coins and Blue Coins)
