PAX AUS - Halloween Escape is an official course in Course World in Super Mario Maker 2. It is a level published by NintendoAU, and was one of the playable levels at the PAX Australia 2019 event. It is set in the ghost house theme and in the Super Mario 3D World style.

Layout[edit]

The level begins with a group of ? Blocks; directly above a ? Block containing a Boo, Mario must hit a Hidden Block to obtain a Key necessary to enter a Key Door. Another room follows, where Mario must bounce off of a Dry Bones directly above a Rock Block at a gap in some Lava Bubbles to hit another Hidden Block with a Key and enter another Key Door. The next room involves Mario removing some POW Blocks in the path of a Big Thwomp to hit yet another Hidden Block with a Key and enter another Key Door. Afterwards, Mario will encounter a harmless Boom Boom hitting an ! Block multiple times; Mario must ground pound an adjacent ! Block and wall jump to reach a Key above and enter a Key Door before the Boom Boom activates the ! Block again. Following that, Mario must then use a series of ! Blocks to guide a Thwomp to some Brick Blocks that must be destroyed to move further, then defeat a big Pom Pom and enter a Clear Pipe to reach the Goal Pole.
