Swinging Claw Flyway is an official course in Course World in Super Mario Maker 2. It is the sixth level of Ninji Speedruns, uploaded on March 18, 2020 and running until March 24, 2020. It is set in the forest theme in the Super Mario Bros. 3 style. This level revolves around Swinging Claw mechanics.

Layout[edit]

The level starts with the Super Mario Sunshine sound effect, which plays throughout the level. To begin with, there is a Swinging Claw, a Piranha Plant, a few coins, and a Super Mushroom in the water below. In the next sections are three Bumpers, three Swinging Claws, some more coins, and five Piranha Plants, some of which are on the ceiling. After this, Mario encounters a stack of four red Koopa Troopas, with a Swinging Claw and a 10-Coin below them, as well as a Bumper which takes him back up.

After that is a long Flimsy Lift with a ? Block containing a Super Mushroom. There are then some more Swinging Claws, with a sideways Piranha Plant as well as a ? Block above containing a Super Star. There is a stack of five red Koopa Troopas nearby, as well as some Piranha Plants and two red Koopa Paratroopas in the area. The next Swinging Claws each hold a coin, although there is a 10-Coin above Mario can reach with some planning.

After these Swinging Claws, past a sideways Piranha Plant, there is a red Koopa Troopa Mario can use to hit a ? Block containing a Super Star. In this last section, filled with Swinging Claws taking Mario ahead, Bumpers which take Mario higher, and some enemies along the way, Mario can get one last 10-Coin before reaching the Goal.

Description[edit]

"Jump from Swinging Claw to Swinging Claw and fly your way through this course! It feels so satisfying to transfer smoothly from one claw to the next. The key is paying close attention to the timing of when the claws catch you and when to release!"
