Big Bee
A Big Bee from Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.
First appearance Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (2004)
Latest appearance New Play Control! Donkey Kong Jungle Beat (2008)
Variant of Bee (Donkey Kong Jungle Beat)
Not to be confused with Bigbee or giant bee.

Big Bees[1] are giant versions of Bees appearing in Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. If Donkey Kong is riding a Helibird, a Big Bee will attack him by blowing the Helibird away with gusts of wind. If Donkey Kong is on the ground, it will shoot stingers at him instead. They can be stunned by using the Sound Wave Attack, and Donkey Kong can then leap on the Big Bee and punch it. When defeated, they leave behind eight beats.

Big Bees are first encountered in Helibird Nest in the Strawberry Kingdom, near the end of the level. They are later encountered in the Peach Kingdom's level Ancient Foundry and in the Pear Kingdom's level Clock Tower. Occasionally, normal Bees appear in a similar size, such as in Monkey Fest, but lack the extra pudgy body, aggressive behavior, and higher durability of Big Bees.
