NWC-2017 is an Event Course in Super Mario Maker, released on October 17, 2017 and was featured in the 2017 Nintendo World Championships. It is set in the ground theme for its main area and the castle theme for its sub area, as well as in the Super Mario World game style.

Layout

The level starts next to some mushroom Semisolid Platforms that lead into an area with Beanstalks and Bumpers, followed by an identical section, but is mirrored and goes downward. Mario must then hit a block with a Beanstalk inside and climb upwards while avoiding more Bumpers, with these ones being attached to Tracks. Another downwards section follows where Mario must make his way through many Music Blocks. The next area requires Mario to perform a well-timed jump off a Note Block. If Mario fails to make the jump, a wall of Trampolines will stop him with conveyor belts on the bottom so he can try again. The next section has multiple sets of three sideways Trampolines with five Pink Coins that Mario must collect in order to unlock the door and move on to the next area. This next area features some more Bumpers that Mario must make his way through. The level's first Checkpoint Flag is located at the end of this area. Immediately after this is a small section with conveyor belts going the opposite way of Mario with the letters "NWC" engraved in the walls above him and leads to a pipe which takes Mario to the sub area. The sub area begins with small one-block wide holes made of Ice Blocks that Mario must jump through and duck depending on whether he is big or not. Next is an upwards area with a blue Lava Lift and another small opening of Ice Blocks that must be jumped through. Mario can restart this area as there are conveyor belts at the bottom. After this is a section with blue falling Lifts where Mario must time his jump while falling to make it to another Lift and to the next area, which contains Rotating Blocks that Mario can Spin Jump through. After this, Mario must collect a Fire Flower from a block and shoot a nearby big Bob-omb and gain access to the next area, which contains a moving Beanstalk and multiple sideways Trampolines on Tracks. The level's second and final Checkpoint Flag is located right before the next area, where Mario must perform well-timed jumps off Cannonballs leading to a door that takes Mario to the final section of the sub area. Here Mario must jump off Donut Blocks that automatically fall because of a Thwomp at the top of the screen. Mario will then land on a blue falling Lift and quickly jump across a corridor of Grinders and jump off a Koopa Paratroopa to access a pipe that leads to the end of the level. Finally, Mario must jump on Yoshi and eat a P Switch to activate a P Warp Door, as the right side of the goal is blocked off. Mario must enter this door and finish the level.
