First appearance Paper Mario: The Origami King (2020)
“Ah, the sea chart. And the Great Sea herself... Yes, everything is coming back to me... In this moment...I am as a bird in a cage. I yearn to sail free at the helm of my Marino, underneath the great cresting waves. I shall require the sea chart, as well as my noble vessel. Make it so!”
Captain T. Ode, Paper Mario: The Origami King

The Sea Chart is an item that appears in Paper Mario: The Origami King. Mario recieves the Sea Chart from Captain T. Ode after the Super Marino is hooked up to Sea Captain Toad's boat. The player can only use it at the Great Sea, and can see it any time if they press L to view Mario's location.

Initially, Bonehead Island is the only island marked on the Sea Chart. Any other islands Mario approaches will also be marked. When rescuing certain Toads in each island, they will mark a spot on the Sea Chart with a red "X" where Mario can use the Super Marino to dive and find a collectible treasure. Once a treasure is found, including ones that never get marked, the mark will change to a greyed out "X".
