If the player uses cheat codes to give Mario enough power to defeat the Shrooblets in one hit in the tutorial battle, the game freezes, forcing the player to reboot the game and start from their last save point. <ref> D2RCR (February 8, 2010). A Shrooblet is a small, baby, purple, Goomba-like Shroob with light-blue spots that can be found near Hollijolli Village in the game Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. They are the weakest enemies in the game. They attack by spinning into Mario or Luigi. The attack can be countered by a jump. If a Shrooblet lifts its right foot before attacking, it will twirl into Mario; if a Shrooblet lifts its left foot before attacking, it will spin into Luigi.

Luigi gets hit on the head by a Shrooblet as Stuffwell teaches the player how to heal in the overworld. Regardless of how much HP Luigi had at the time, he will always be on 1 HP after the Shrooblet hits him.

If the player uses cheat codes to give Mario enough power to defeat the Shrooblets in one hit in the tutorial battle, the game crashes. [1]
