Gordos are a species of enemy in the Kirby series, that resemble sea urchins. In Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, Gordo appeared as a normal enemy, similar to its role in the Kirby series. They will appear once again in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, acting as one of the enemies King Dedede can toss when using Waddle Dee Toss. Sometimes, instead of a Waddle Dee, King Dedede will pick up a Gordo, and toss that instead. Apparently, it will continue to roam around the stage after it is been thrown. It also appears during Dedede's Final Smash attack, Waddle Dee Army, reprising its role from Waddle Dee Toss. However, it appears to be much stronger than the Gordo's from Waddle Dee Toss.
A Gordo also appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a sticker.
Trophy Information from Super Smash Bros. Brawl
A creature that sits in one place and doesn't even try to move. They won't even budge if Kirby tries to inhale them--they're the definitive obstacle. In addition, they're covered in spikes, so they damage whoever touches them. They're found stopped in groups, blocking narrow passageways, etc. Nothing's harder to get by than an encampment of Gordos.
