The Mini-Turbo is a Special Move in the Mario Kart series similar to the Rocket Start, providing the player with a short speed boost. It has appeared in every game in the series since Mario Kart 64, and it can be activated by pushing both directions of the D-Pad alternately when drifting.
In the co-op play of Mario Kart: Double Dash, the front player (that is driving) must press the R or L button to drift while the back player must tilt the Control Stick.
