Mini-Turbo in Super Mario Kart[edit]
I noticed that in Super Mario Kart, after you perform a drift corrrectly in a long tight curve from the beginning until the end of it (e.g. the curve before the ramp in Mario Circuit 2 or the last curve of Donut Plains 3) you can hear the sound of the engine becoming more acute for about a second and then returning to the previous pitch. This seems a Mini-Turbo mechanism akin to what is seen on Mario Kart Super Circuit, but without the animation. Can someone confirm if this is a true Mini-Turbo like in Mario Kart Super Circuit?
