Big Grrrol
Would it really hurt to change the page name to ‘Big Grrrol’? Just because they aren’t named as such in any source doesn’t mean we can’t provide the obvious translation. Using Dai Gorō as the name just looks weird. Quizmelon (talk) 13:40, 18 March 2018 (EDT)
- Have we ever moved other articles like this? The only one I can think of is Pump Mario. Ray Trace(T|C) 15:19, 18 March 2018 (EDT)
- As per MarioWiki:Naming, a non-English name can be used if that's the only official name we have. "Big Grrrol" isn't official, it's an unofficial translation. 18:31, 18 March 2018 (EDT)
Where in SMP does it appear?
I have heard through the gripevine that this Bowser Minion reappears in Super Mario Party, but where? It's always important to show proof, because the Toadies reappeared in WarioWare Gold before this game. I hope I and everyone else can hear back.--Hamshamcart (talk) 20:43, 5 October 2018 (EDT)
- As stated on the main SMP page, it's in a minigame called "Follow the Money." Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:02, 5 October 2018 (EDT)
Mega Grrrol?
I have a copy of the Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia, and page 210 refers to this enemy as, and I quote, a "Mega Grrrol". This, as far as I Moe, was never a conjectural name on the Wiki, as we called them Dai Gōro. Therefore, it seems sensible to change the name here to Mega Grrrol. Does anyone have any objections? It's certainly a better name than Dai Gōro or Grrol (big). I Moe-nly ask on here because I know the writers of the encyclopedia got into some hot water for using conjectural names. Any advice? Should the name be changed? --Moe-Eye (talk) 15:34, 17 February 2019 (EST)
- No Moe, "Mega Grrrol" was originally the name of this article from 2012 to 2017, and it was decided via proposal to more or less disown the English version in policy. LinkTheLefty (talk) 15:42, 17 February 2019 (EST)
