Uploading images[edit]

If you want to upload the images yourself, you can go to Special:Upload. Just upload the file directly from your computer! Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:15, 14 September 2018 (EDT) I tried doing that, but I still don't understand how to put in the Floating Bandinero artwork, when a screenshot image of it already exists on its page. --Hamshamcart (talk) 19:33, 14 September 2018 (EDT)

Clicking the source filename "Browse" button will allow you to upload a file directly from your computer. Just choose the image you want, fill out the necessary parameters in he aboutfile template (or remove it entirely), categorize the image correctly (in this case, replace the uncategorized template with ), choose the character-artwork license, and the upload it!
To actually place the image on the page, use . Or just the FILENAME.png if in a gallery.
Lot of stuff there, so let me know if you have any questions :P Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:38, 14 September 2018 (EDT)

I tried doing it, but I'm still stuck. How can it be done properly, when it keeps showing the same results? --Hamshamcart (talk) 21:03, 14 September 2018 (EDT)

What are you seeing? You should be able to upload images. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 21:25, 14 September 2018 (EDT)
I think only autoconfirmed users can upload images. Just checked and he has to wait for at least three or four more days. – Owencrazyboy9 (talk) 21:40, 14 September 2018 (EDT)
Apparently not. Porple and the Special:ListGroupRights say otherwise. You have to be autoconfirmed to upload through URL. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 21:44, 14 September 2018 (EDT)

For future reference, to make a page the image is linked to appear in the file's File usage section, the image has to actually be placed on the page and the link to the page will appear in the File usage section automatically. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:06, 20 September 2018 (EDT) Okay, thank you. I just needed some motivation to be better. --Hamshamcart (talk) 19:08, 20 September 2018 (EDT)

Additionally:

Hello, Hamshamcart. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below.

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Hamshamcart. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

I'll understand if you upload and then fix the parameters on your computer. Editing from console is a pain :P Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 15:33, 6 October 2018 (EDT) Yes, it is. But I'm wondering if you or anyone else can rip these Bowser Minions for high quality collecting? Just throwing it out there ;)--Hamshamcart (talk) 15:43, 6 October 2018 (EDT)

I don't have a Switch, but uploading directly from the Switch is about as high-quality as you're going to get at the moment I think. Unless you mean the sprites? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 15:47, 6 October 2018 (EDT)
Warning.svg This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (Continuing to incorrectly use the aboutfile template) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Hello, regarding this upload you incorrectly used the aboutfile template again, as you forgot to remove the empty variables from the template. Please follow the above reminder in the future. Thanks for your understanding. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 18:21, 1 February 2019 (EST) You're welcome. Please make sure to help Bobo, Funfun, and Zenisukī.--Hamshamcart (talk) 18:45, 1 February 2019 (EST)

Lastwarn.svg This is your last warning. The next time you break the rules in any way, you will be blocked from editing the Super Mario Wiki.
If you feel this last warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You have done this again, except including the aboutfile text and some of its code but not all of it. While using the aboufile template is not needed (if you do not use it you have to remove it and all of its code with no summery), if you do use it you need to use the template correctly, as listed above. Continuing to do this will lead to another block. Thank you for your understanding. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 17:57, 3 February 2019 (EST) Sorry, I can't help it.--Hamshamcart (talk) 18:48, 3 February 2019 (EST)

Yes you can. Read the instructions carefully, ask another user, or even look at how other files have done it. You're still able to go back and fix it even after the image has been uploaded. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:09, 3 February 2019 (EST)
Okay. I'll try next time. Just fix Black Shy Guy's quality, please. It's one of this wiki's priorities. ;)--Hamshamcart (talk) 20:35, 3 February 2019 (EST)
In wikis, everything's a priority. Please stop talking about it, and remember that someone will eventually get around to extracting models for the Black Shy Guy in question. In fact, I honestly want to see models from Super Mario 3D Land and New Super Mario Bros. U ripped, but I know that no-one can get around to it anytime soon, so I'm just waiting patiently for it. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 14:40, 4 February 2019 (EST)
I know, someone will fix the Black Shy Guy MK8 model quality. And the New Super Mario Bros. U models can be found on Mario Castle Italia. And yes, someone will get the Yoshi's New Island Stilt Guy models, along with buying the Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 Japanese Game Guides.--Hamshamcart (talk) 15:30, 4 February 2019 (EST)
Like I said before, it would appear that Stilt Guy doesn't have its own model, but is assembled from two sticks and the regular Shy Guy model. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 15:35, 4 February 2019 (EST)

Correct you are Doc, so someone should help assemble the Stilt Guys from their sticks/stilts and the regualr Shy Guy models (https://www.models-resource.com/3ds/yoshisnewisland/model/13373/) Good luck ;)--Hamshamcart (talk) 16:47, 4 February 2019 (EST)

Doing that accurately would be another matter entirely. Either way, it's not its own model, and as such really doesn't matter so much. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 18:18, 4 February 2019 (EST)
Okay, let's just have them in high quality transparent YNI sprites then. Since they're not their own models, YNI sprites of all 4 colors of them are a compromise? Deal, Doc?--Hamshamcart (talk) 19:43, 4 February 2019 (EST)
No, actually, as they don't use sprites. The in-game model renders for that game are also pretty bad due to that game's abuse of filters to give the "oil paint" look. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:55, 4 February 2019 (EST)
For the Stilt Guys, ask to Alternis (talk) maybe, he also contributes here. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 09:15, 8 February 2019 (EST) I already ripped them myself, but thank you for the advice. I'll just let you and this wiki upgrade the quality for Black Shy Guy and Toady's Super Mario Party design/models.--Hamshamcart (talk) 09:41, 8 February 2019 (EST)

Renames[edit]

Rather than changing the name in the infobox, you have to actually move the page to the new name, change the links to the page, and site a source for the new name. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 16:42, 23 October 2018 (EDT)

Additionally, we're still going over the material, so the renames should be held off on for the moment. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 16:43, 23 October 2018 (EDT)

Spike Top[edit]

The Spike Top image you are placing on the Spike Top page doesn't exactly have a place to go, so it's better left in the gallery. Additionally, image-quality goes on image pages themselves, not actual articles. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 12:26, 26 October 2018 (EDT) That's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thank you, Alex. Just let me know when this Bowser Minion's artwork is improved.--Hamshamcart (talk) 12:36, 26 October 2018 (EDT)

Italics[edit]

Hey, just letting you know that italics are formatted with two apostrophes (e.g. Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition). Quotation marks won't work. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 05:33, 27 October 2018 (EDT)

Please remember to italicize game titles with apostrophes, as your recent edits were missing them. --A sprite of a Flame Chomp from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.TheFlameChomp (talk) 17:21, 12 November 2018 (EST)
Quotation marks won't work; you need to use two apostrophes. Both game titles and series titles should use them. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:20, 12 November 2018 (EST)
To make sure it's abundantly clear, it's a ' followed by another ' on both sides, not a ". Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 21:46, 12 November 2018 (EST)

You're still forgetting this after being reminded multiple times. You're on an official last warning though I don't feel this warrants an immediate block, but it will come to that if you continue ignoring advice on your talk page. This is a final warning. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:11, 29 November 2018 (EST)

SMBE names[edit]

Read this proposal. It was decided via community consensus to not use names from the English Super Mario Bros. Encyclopedia as official subject names on the wiki, so please stop changing the names back. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 08:30, 31 October 2018 (EDT)

Unfourtanely they should, because they're the future of fun and this wiki still needs to find more models of the 3 Snowmad minions, and a lot of Bowser minions like Stilt Guys, Solo Toadies, Mega Grrolls, the Toady's upgraded design, all the other colors of Burrbo, and lots more stuff to do like upgrading the Spike Top artwork. So leave the Mega Grrroll, Bull's-Eye Banzai, and other subjects alone, Bowser hater.--Hamshamcart (talk) 16:23, 31 October 2018 (EDT)
You're not understanding the situation. This nothing to do with personal dislike towards a character. This was a rule decided by the community. If you have a problem with the proposal and think the names should be used, create a counterproposal once four weeks have passed. However, continue to make changes against a passed proposal and you will receive a warning. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 19:37, 31 October 2018 (EDT)

It's actually just due to those minions that had good name changes, which u guys don't like. The ones me and my men agree on are Piranha Pod, Bull's-Eye Banzai, Mega Grrroll, Fire Jumping Piranha, and a bunch of others like Launch Pad. It's the Good Future for video game villain kind, so you have to get with the times. And by the time Mario and Luigi Paper Jam 2 rolls around (Possibly), through a great article from NE (https://nintendoeverything.com/nintendo-says-it-will-keep-3ds-business-going-preparing-new-titles/) after Fawful's final death in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, the VA will have more minions in its ranks and everyone will call us heroes of the Koopa Troops (Both Regular and Paper Mario).--Hamshamcart (talk) 20:28, 31 October 2018 (EDT)

You really don't seem to understand what's being said. These are not "good name changes," they're completely made-up and fandom based, and to use them would be citing ourselves, which would be bad. Also, you're using a whole lot of bizarre phraseology there that makes absolutely no sense with each other, and half the time seem to be speaking in an in-universe standpoint, which helps no one. It's a community decision to not use these names, as they are fake, and the English ESMB was lazily-written and fandom plagiarism-heavy. Using these names is, to put it bluntly, against the rules now. Courtesy of community decision. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:33, 31 October 2018 (EDT)

Well, I like these names. Bull's-Eye Banzai is more awesome than King Bill, because there is only one, and that's the Bowser Minion that reappears in the New Super Mario Bros U games and Puzzles and Dragons Z Mario Edition. It is not plagiarism because the current names this wiki were boring and need good updating. And the in-universe standpoint is meant to inspire a cry for Mario & Luigi Paper Jam 2. Hope you like the image, Doc. ;)

Please stop acting stubborn and confrontational towards other users on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.
When you disagree with other users' stances on an issue, don't be stubborn about it, as how you were acting in the above banter, and especially towards an administrator. You're still not understanding anyways. The fact that you like names such as "Bull's-Eye Banzai" or "Mega Grrrol" is purely subjective and has nothing to do with the community consensus that was agreed upon (with a super-majority too), and the fact that the plagiarism of this wiki by Zack Davisson went as far as to garner coverage from Nintendo Life also proves why. Like Mario jc said above, wait four weeks to launch a counterproposal instead of making changes directly in violation of a passed proposal, otherwise you will receive a warning. Thank you.
Also, I tagged the image you uploaded with personal-file since it's unofficial and should not belong in mainspace. Just thought I'd let you know. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 21:42, 31 October 2018 (EDT)

Don't do this[edit]

This is not going to fly. Given your image above is there, I can only assume that that's your own Twitter account, and you are not "an organization," and due to not being affiliated with Nintendo, it's not "serious talk." Also, the article linked mentions neither Paper Jam nor Project X Zone in any capacity, as my handy crtl+f tells me. I'm honestly considering giving you a warning for this. I'll refrain for now, but seriously, don't do it again, it's unacceptable. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 23:08, 3 November 2018 (EDT)

Warning.svg This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (adding unnecessary trivia) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site.
If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

(This adds on to Doc von Schmeltwick's commentary above.)

Since you seem to have a problematic history of fanon on the wiki, I decided to just go ahead and give you this warning. Your piece of trivia you added to the Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam page here was purely fancruft, but saying it was "serious" in your edit summary is borderline unacceptable. In fact, your obsession with fanon on the wiki should not go as far as to insisting that you should add said fanon to mainspace articles just because you "feel like it". Continue this and you may face a small temporary block. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 23:10, 3 November 2018 (EDT)

Final warning[edit]

Lastwarn.svg This is your last warning. The next time you break the rules in any way, you will be blocked from editing the Super Mario Wiki.
If you feel this last warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

This was very inappropriate and utterly unacceptable. First of all, you can't remove other users' comments, especially just to pretend something never happened, and especially if it's removing a warning without a proper appeal. Not only that, but you also insisted that people only talk about fanon topics in a vain attempt to get your way in the discussion. "This is for the good of gaming society. Please only type relevant topics like Fawful's final death, and what Bowser Minions should reappear in Bowser Jr.'s Journey." is not an acceptable thing to say on your talk page. Since there's really no longer an excuse in failing to listen to what other users have to say (even if you don't necessarily agree with them) and trying to talk about fanon after we've attempted to remind you about this roughly seven times, this is your final warning. Continue and you will face a block. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 11:54, 4 November 2018 (EST)

Kremling Images[edit]

Due to your track record, I have a hard time believing that those images you just uploaded are official. Particularly as red Kritters didn't appear in DK64, and didn't appear in that vibrant a red at all until Power Tennis. Where exactly on DKVine did you find them? Give a link. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:44, 6 November 2018 (EST)

Red Kritters did appear Kremling Kosh and that memory game from Frantic Factory, just saying. -- -- KOOPA CON CARNE 19:59, 6 November 2018 (EST)
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Still, the likelihood that Rare would make badly-executed edit art for every enemy recolor for at least four games is quite low, in my opinion. They had the original models; they could have retextured them and gave them new poses and things like that. That Krash image is 99% definitely fake. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:05, 6 November 2018 (EST)

The artwork section of the site. https://www.dkvine.com/?p=gallery&album=artwork&page=dkc2 https://www.dkvine.com/?p=gallery&album=artwork&page=dkc https://www.dkvine.com/?p=gallery&album=artwork&page=dk64--Hamshamcart (talk) 20:23, 6 November 2018 (EST)

OK, you're clear, but I'm still not sure if all of these are real, with some of them, the recoloring leaves some artifacts... Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:30, 6 November 2018 (EST)

Naw, they're real. You just need to look closely and you'll find some truths.--Hamshamcart (talk) 20:35, 6 November 2018 (EST)

I'm not finding "truths," I'm finding edits. And given how many variations of the same image are on DKVine's page for Grunty's Revenge, I'm legitimately getting suspicious as to whether or not it's a credible source for images anymore. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 20:56, 6 November 2018 (EST)
Apparently the site is full of fake edited images, so I imagine that at somewhere between 80 and 97% of the images you uploaded were fake. Some of them, like the Purple Klaptrap one, weren't even the right value of the color they were intended to represent. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:43, 7 November 2018 (EST)

btw, categories are placed by typing , not . The latter will place the category description on the file info and not actually categorize the image. Also, files need to be placed on pages, which has been told to you before. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 20:40, 6 November 2018 (EST)

Snow Pokey[edit]

Once again, I have a hard time believing that this image of a Snow Pokey is official. Honestly, where did you find it? Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 13:08, 11 November 2018 (EST)

Fantendo through Google Images. They managed to do a good job ripping it from the key artwork of 3D World.--Hamshamcart (talk) 13:30, 11 November 2018 (EST)
I can believe that, although when you upload an image you should cite the source(s) instead of putting "Internet Stuff" next time. Thanks! Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 13:46, 11 November 2018 (EST)
Also, try to avoid uploading unofficially and/or poorly cropped artwork in the future. Thanks! Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 20:18, 11 November 2018 (EST)

Uploads[edit]

Please avoid uploading low-quality images that are poorly cropped, rescaled, and/or images that were originally JPG converted to PNG (this goes against our policy). If you need to, crop them normally with the background intact, without rescaling (as that sometimes worsens the quality) and without changing the original image format. You also didn't categorise your uploads and fill in the aboutfile template properly, and forgot to italicise game titles here, against what you've already been told above multiple times. Remember you're on a last warning, so please make the effort to follow the advice that has been given to you instead of leaving others to fix your edits, otherwise you could face a block. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 20:43, 22 November 2018 (EST)

Additionally, after you upload an image, you should place it on an article. Help:Image shows you how. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 21:11, 22 November 2018 (EST)

Reminder[edit]

You had the week to go over the rules and guidelines and review your talk page, but you're still making the same edits you were already reminded about, relying others to fix them for you. Wiki editing is a collaborative effort, but these are things you're capable of doing yourself, especially after you were explained how to do them. Please take better care with your edits; you could be faced with another block if this happens again.

In regards to the second edit, this page shows you how to cite sources for references. If you're not sure you did something unfamiliar to you right, you can always alert others through the summary box or talk page. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 04:44, 7 December 2018 (EST)

Speculation and edits[edit]

Please avoid using words like "presumably", as it implies speculation. If you can source the information that they will be allies, do that instead. Otherwise, just don't include that information.

Additionally, to italicize titles, you use two apostrophes on both sides, not a quotation mark on both sides (Mario & Luigi rather than "Mario & Luigi"). You also seem to be having trouble with headers; please see the edits after those from the link above.

Also, sections on an upcoming game should be marked with . Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:08, 16 December 2018 (EST)

Stub articles[edit]

Please stop creating stub articles on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Hello, thanks for your recent contributions, however, articles should be complete when published, not stubs like with the Big Magikoopa page, unless it is a large subject that needs multiple editors to finish, such as Spirit (Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), and, in that case, you should use the construction template. If you need to exit the mariowiki tab while creating an article, then instead of creating a stub article you should create a project page/sandbox to store the article until it is finished. Also you should check the code with the Preview tab before publishing. Thanks! Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 18:49, 16 December 2018 (EST)

Your recent edits[edit]

Please stop making rushed edits littered with broken coding on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.

This was the initial version of the Big Magikoopa page, which you created:

{{species-infobox
|title=
|image=
|parent_species=Magikoopa
|first_appearance=Super Mario Maker (2015}
|latest_appearance=Mario Sports Superstars {2017}

Big Magikoopas are enemies in the Super Mario (series), first appearing in Super Mario Maker.

History
Super Mario series
Super Mario Maker / Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS
Big Magikoopas make their debut as Magikoopas that can be enlarged with Super Mushrooms. They act the same as Magikoopas, only bigger.

Mario Sports Superstars"
A Big Magikoopa can appear as a boss in the Road to Superstar mode. It attacks by firing magic blasts at the amiibo cards and teleports around. When its health is depleted halfway, it can summon Bullet Bills to attack the amiibo cards.

SMM
Mario Sports Superstars

Catergory:Super Mario Maker Enemies

Here is all of the formatting issues you placed into the article:

 1. Placing braces in the infobox where there should have been parenthesis
 2. Forgot the closing braces for the infobox
 3. Forgot italics in the intro sentence
 4. Put a quotation mark at the end of the Mario Sports Superstars" subheader (like what I just did)
 5. Left unnecessarily large line breaks in places
 6. And finally, misspelled "Category" as "Catergory" in one spot

Please remember to hit the "Show preview" button before saving the page, as many of those errors could have been easily resolved if you had just hit the preview button. Since you've had a history of doing this, I just went ahead and gave you this reminder. Thank you for your understanding. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 18:55, 16 December 2018 (EST) Okay. Just be ready for the Journey and the SS.--Hamshamcart (talk) 18:59, 16 December 2018 (EST)

(Changed "code" to "pre" so it works better) There wasn't a need for two reminders here, but yeah, do be more careful. You been told about this information a few times before. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 19:00, 16 December 2018 (EST)

To add, this means checking over your edits before leaving them. If there's an error with the coding, make the fixes, but if you absolutely don't know, undo them and/or let someone else know in the summary, but don't simply leave them in a rushed state with no consideration for the quality of the published edits. I'm sorry, but i don't own the game, and i don't know how to rip models out of it. In fact, i can't rip models at all. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 11:41, 22 December 2018 (EST) Fair enough. Someone else will finish the jobs. You just stick to the editing, and thank you for your concern. --Hamshamcart (talk) 11:51, 22 December 2018 (EST)

You seem to like model rips, don't ya? :) --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 11:58, 22 December 2018 (EST)

Yes. For certain Bowser minions that have modern appearances (Stilt Guys, for example), yet don't have artwork. Also applies to the 3 remaining Snowmad minions and Bowser minions that appear in modern games onwards like the Stone Spike and the Mega Grrrol. (The former with the brown stone spike ball, and waiting for a model render from either MSS, MPIT, or MTA, since the NSMBW appearance for its weapon is redundant.) --Hamshamcart (talk) 12:02, 22 December 2018 (EST)

For Mega Grrrol's name and other, we don't allow the book to be cited. For instance, Starbag was the old article's name which was a translation of the german name before it was moved to Petari, it's official internal filename. I see your above messages, so i decided to tell you. Check out this proposal. This proposal does unfortunately not allow the book to be cited. We can only cite the Japanese one. Also, regarding model rips, Stilt Guys aren't in the model resource, nor in the italian wiki. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 12:07, 22 December 2018 (EST)

I know. Everyone on this wiki should look harder, and keep trying till they're found. It can be done. #MinionAmbitionFirst --Hamshamcart (talk) 12:11, 22 December 2018 (EST)

Derailing conversations[edit]

Regarding your messages on the Talk:Balloon Goomba page, I've noticed many instances where you seem a little obsessed with getting model rips of certain characters, usually Bowser's troops. While wanting additional images of something is fine, how you're going about it is not. The conversation linked is not asking for model rips of any of the characters you mentioned. Placing image or more images on pages, maybe with an edit summary, will do (as I explained in your message to the mariowikiadmin's gmail). In regards to the English Encyclopedia Super Mario Bros., we will not be changing our stance on it as there was blatant plagiarism taken from the wiki, despite what you think. If you do not have anything relevant to add to discussions, please do not say anything at all. Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 13:22, 24 December 2018 (EST)

Check out Starbag. It's clearly taken from the wiki. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 13:27, 24 December 2018 (EST)
Also, the phrase Ugh, you guys are fighting like a cat and mouse. It sickens me and my men. Just accept the truth. is disrespectful to other user opinions, and the users in the conversation where not fighting, they where just having a friendly conversation. If you disagree with other users opinions, you should still be respectful of those opinions while stating your own, however the way you phased the sentence made it sound like their opinions where downright wrong, which is rude and does not add to the conversation. Thanks! Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 13:30, 24 December 2018 (EST)
Not to mention that it was off-topic too. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 13:54, 24 December 2018 (EST)

Yeah, yeah, I know. Thank you for setting me straight, just let me know when those Stilt Guy and MK8 Shy Guys models r ready, k? Thanks.--Hamshamcart (talk) 14:08, 24 December 2018 (EST)

Mario Kart 8/Kart 8 Deluxe Shy Guy Models[edit]

I like the work you guys are putting in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. I have put a link in the Black Shy Guy discussion about the models needed. You may have seen it, but here it is again for reminder's sake: https://www.models-resource.com/wii_u/mariokart8/model/9295/. I wish you good hunting for the Journey and what more secrets it has...--Hamshamcart (talk) 15:29, 27 December 2018 (EST)

Give up on model rips?[edit]

File:Mega Grrrol model.png I know many times you have asked users to get your model rips but... I think that no one in the world would get your models. And, i think that if you continue to ask them, they will possibly block you again, and this time, they decide what to do, and you'll have to check everyday if they decided to unblock you. Just no one in the world can get your model rips, unfortunately. The only one i've got is the Mega Grrrol. The others will not be able to be gotten at any time, by anyone, sorry. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 13:21, 30 January 2019 (EST)
I know. But I uploaded the Cyan and Pink Shy Guys today. From the same steam link that this wiki couldn't work off of. And even though they need better quality, this will send waves that yearn for the Stilt Guy Yoshi's New Island models, along with the Black Shy Guy model from MK8/MK8DX. I must congratulate you on the Super Mario Party Toady model, though it does need better quality. So, we're not throwing in the towel, until it's done. And I'm done asking, too. Thank you. --Hamshamcart (talk) 15:02, 31 January 2019 (EST)

Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 enemies[edit]

Hi, just asking where exactly you ripped images for these three enemies. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 08:02, 31 January 2019 (EST)

I got em from a image on Tumblr, while searching for color images of Black Sugar Pirate minions. And they're bosses, by the way.--Hamshamcart (talk) 08:05, 31 January 2019 (EST)
No, I meant as in what image(s) you found in Tumblr that you ripped these images from. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 08:07, 31 January 2019 (EST)

Basically, a color image of Super Mario Kun's Wario Land arc or something.--Hamshamcart (talk) 08:09, 31 January 2019 (EST)

Not a good reason to upload them. From what I remember, the Super Mario Kun illustrations aren't even in color except for the cover. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 08:14, 31 January 2019 (EST)

Acutally, they were from the Bom Bom Comic adaptation for Wario Land. (Sorry for confusing you, Toadette) That's also where I got these image that Flame Chomp just deleted. tumblr_pkx1kbasad1x9zgtro1_1280.png Hope u have a nice day.--Hamshamcart (talk) 14:57, 31 January 2019 (EST) Here are some links from ebay to find more Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 enemy artwork: https://www.ebay.com/itm/WARIO-LAND-Super-Mario-Land-3-Guide-Book-Game-Boy-FT50/302205502491?hash=item465cda041b:g:3tcAAOSwNnRYiFjn:rk:29:pf:0, https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wario-Land-official-strategy-guide-book-GAME-BOY-GB/282249670764?hash=item41b764306c:rk:25:pf:0&checksum=28224967076446f8f435d2b24d53be9814120118ad9e&enc=AQADAAAC4FjVrDbVsZ8oH%2F8PNHtt9VX4%2Fw7FZcmMuqsX8uaFEduVD438SP9cUeQBV7o%2BWvep3dwkAbdYdQn%2BK%2FTvgCXcaTHYBxOVxiCs6AMYEXbfwwoZrNJMHWE93IIa5v%2BtoN8FDYHQph4z72cHI9se8FIU0ik1a0Hm%2FBWBX9lSHqD8nxAQyK6nQkdVJfB0rVnmsibubucsQ6Q0%2B8ebj13jPxwpTQUdtTmZEf%2BdjjoC1O5oAiqfgDCpQYiH%2F9y0bacEE7CxjvKSa9240MCJuNnbypwwnYv9lT5YIgRJtE5gF%2F7lV1tgab4yFYE87McbAG68yMOl37tMq98zGDJc6kLMTQxYoW60RCuooevG%2BoH%2FZnlA4G3raCY5nI%2FH6LV%2F42HYVOibPC5SRo%2F7fO4rPTVYsxqyyngfyCBaOz05hmAY5ukA9q3%2Bm6z9HeuJEGvX1Lpbsqu2kX7%2Bv0x59XdD2mLewYl16118wA3NtO7ZZjqor0mox%2BO8bJeFhmBdplflCgF4Sc4PvnAQgNWjsICBFA6gKnGFrjmgD%2BCesNwy%2BOaKea0iEg8yUI91uVRjVH7Al9bKb6ZT%2BATIwnTKwzgEa472UdEGW2QKFFC4dZLH2xckks2K9psymr%2BP9wxR0mxY8ukh5FMltj0E36NL0QTDP7MfP0tflPOqGqn3MKdgN93s8mEKZ%2FoDTl3iosUqyI%2BdTqZmEPXSox7tnqfbg92%2FC9hxSNi6WsquvglNerUPwcFCEU0upwDoReeJz7YYjAxX%2Bj7Gd9cpUNc1WnDpMlpeinMrAjyjKgf9i8HgRx4Q4LlGnlfIEYiH%2BtPvk66SE7dEzX8AXvgjRG7CqqA2nxXvFFcSsgM1iXQpMB8iuyMOkG7eFPA%2FEaKhPHSZDZztwTcqZvv8mn3pXlJQ8sxOEzKY66P7GMqEMTJA1O1c85GE6MBgWoSSmywW%2BUdohjNi6ZsQzINOg4M3z7VOXQVQwmursmdK4k4f3jw%3D, and https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wario-Land-Super-Mario-Land-3-Strategy-Guide-Book-GB/282249671203?hash=item41b7643223:rk:24:pf:0&checksum=282249671203d559c139487f4f7ea58273b892bdff7a&enc=AQADAAAC4FjVrDbVsZ8oH%2F8PNHtt9VX4%2Fw7FZcmMuqsX8uaFEduVQs98dTzKC%2BCiq6JLwVmwHg8I52M9Pm8ZJ9EEWoqPgpwTOgDCVxGyX5YGh4us%2BYe9U7ORqo1rxtOmk7rTRVxgjdtTktiLzQDnfnO5kT7pYC43lZXLTBdWXdtz5OWLIBvpuLpMzMR8hKvtEUzfzGekxJMLavJSAPlp2M2OF7IdiCR%2F8TrFz9hG22q%2B7%2FPQFMdf4fdLXWve6%2FPgaKhJoxt7EwcMQAjWUyJfWRMVM1brYWEaLmDr13EXyH1n24i3K9iZFgHOVnuYkQIa8fuBMI7TObseqB4s2ZMyMHvbZzkKdTAhXa3zfExl6xE0jns5yKiztH196D4Om1KcT5oZVLB2ZVCtZ%2FH6%2FALGHE8z496hkBQy6CURfPzz83d5yxSdM1Wob7jjYdH8cEX4pDbiqLBh1I7YjH3LvzQH8EX%2BVWgO0IWU6uAOwwpwDIaxVTywxiOoSsoDDayTQaFd%2BsjKHnZ0DlAP5m%2FlCZwjmHh7P1NNFCo1%2F6X%2BLaFZkfP0jspRsAh%2FB7Jhb3MpYO9d4bs%2FFcy3%2BZa1D8MNTU2KkAnReFKAfX%2FWFPS2ax9%2FQpD7j7bKBUuazTwOjAK3HHaMYgaXu9K8B0Be%2FsbL4jpf2gNgs%2Bjp8JVD55OoRBTn4r8%2FoVyyuK4ptVQsHwiM9JN1BCCSlKwXOn6K%2Bq7erVVADw99sItVzn25hd7RQ2ei%2F4kNa7Bprgid%2FCNzmBH2SVM4GqoYzdLs21yfjNw55%2FabCjAr%2BHUkl9mRCQHASJiuhILZvfYC4wP4AmfTouB2WYL3vrgQ4vDDTV%2FBdlm4C%2BQpF35VveYB0fH3D3LG5pZ9RoN6Bre%2BVBt8QtRDV7I%2FrR44rPDa01ewkPDXvg%2Bi23MabStd%2FTc%2BuldUUeD978mVRjMRDhlLaB7wWrTfgOdVmC9nTaM3da%2B0dvbAv%2F%2BN3CAWmLMK%2FZGSxpc%3D. Anyone willing to buy those guides and find artwork for Black Sugar Pirate minions like Guragura, Goboten, Pecan, Ukiwani, and Yarikuri Obake?

There already is black-and-white artwork for them all, some of which I have uploaded. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:33, 7 February 2019 (EST)

Yes, but you could buy these guides and find full color images for them all. Or have anyone on this wiki do the aforemetioned buying of these guides. Just throwing it out there. And how are the quality upgrades for Black Shy Guy and Toady's Super Mario Party design models going? Not to be off topic or anything.--Hamshamcart (talk) 18:19, 7 February 2019 (EST)

No need to beg everyone to do this, especially this which requires purchases. If you want the images, you can buy the guides yourself. Same with the quality upgrades, people are human so it will naturally take time, and you can always do it yourself. Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy
18:26, 7 February 2019 (EST) I agree, those upgrades are still in the works and I'll just wait for Yoshi's Crafted World, and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam 2 if Nintendo announces it at E3 2019 or any one of their Nintendo Directs --Hamshamcart (talk) 19:02, 7 February 2019 (EST)
Given how poorly the original Paper Jam was received, and how poorly the BiS remake was additionally received, I have a feeling that is not going to happen. It would not be lucrative. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 19:16, 7 February 2019 (EST)
Eh, those are just lies thought up by anti Koopa Troop gamers to get some publicity and earn some quick bucks. And they had good postive reviews, too. And plus, my review for that remake is somewhat popular: https://youtu.be/yMDghePZfyU. So sit back and be ready for the Mario & Paper Mario Worlds to meet each other again... with some new faces. (Sledge Bros, Bone Goombas, Ice Bros, Ptooies, Big Goombas, Mini Goombas, Paper Morton Koopa Jr., Paper Iggy Koopa, Paper Ludwig von Koopa, Paper Wendy O. Koopa, Paper Larry Koopa, Paper Lemmy Koopa, Paper Roy Koopa, A pink Shy Guy in Paper Mario: Color Splash., A yellow Shy Guy in Paper Mario: Color Splash., and Paper Buzzy Beetles, Pokey, and Cheep Cheep (The last 3 minions that missed out on the first Paper Jam).)--Hamshamcart (talk) 21:18, 7 February 2019 (EST)
...keep dreaming, I suppose. 7-7 It's the worst-selling Mario game since Tipping Stars. That's statistics, there. Anyways, the only reason to have a second game like that would be to execute the concept in a way that wasn't so underwhelming it's hard to finish (like the first), but what they need to do is make a new type of RPG that isn't "Mario & Luigi" or the current type of "Paper Mario." Or focus on Switch games, mainstream Pokemon made the leap from being a handheld-only series to being on the Switch, and obviously, it's capable of a lot more. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 23:26, 7 February 2019 (EST)
Actually, among the worst sellers since the Virtual Boy. The M&L series is dying. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:35, 9 February 2019 (EST)

Something...[edit]

Hey there. Did you know that when you write game names, they should always use ' ? Example Super Mario Galaxy becomes Super Mario Galaxy. Respond while trying with another game name, ok? --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 13:17, 1 February 2019 (EST) K. Uploaded the Black Shy Guy model, which needs a quality upgrade, just like the Toady's 'Super Mario Party' design. And how are the Stilt Guy models going?--Hamshamcart (talk) 13:59, 1 February 2019 (EST)

Thought you we're done asking. They go good. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 14:01, 1 February 2019 (EST)
Also use two ' instead of one this, not 'this'. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 14:02, 1 February 2019 (EST)

K. And it's "They're going good". Just throwing it out there.--Hamshamcart (talk) 14:04, 1 February 2019 (EST)

See the "I" next to the "B", press it an type the text you want to replace. It is between the signature icon an the bold thing. --Green Yoshi FanOfYoshi 14:05, 1 February 2019 (EST)

K. Thank you.--Hamshamcart (talk) 14:06, 1 February 2019 (EST)

Recent uploads[edit]

You should add the images to a page as soon as you've uploaded them, otherwise they'll go unused and be eligible for deletion. For instance, the Shy Guy models can go in Gallery:Mario_Kart_8#Models.

Also, for the source, instead of adding a vague description like "Taken from a screenshot", please try to add the direct source. Marie costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 07:19, 2 February 2019 (EST) Okay. Can you please give the Black Shy Guy the same quality upgrades as the Pink and Cyan variants?--Hamshamcart (talk) 09:15, 2 February 2019 (EST)

Bowser minions[edit]

I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but I for one am really tired of your constant use of the phrase "Bowser minion" to describe enemies. Just call them enemies, please. Additionally, retextures are just that. They don't have their own models. They're the same model with different paint on them. This also means acquiring them is slightly more troublesome. Please save the "more images" template for when something is particularly important, like a vastly-different design. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 22:52, 2 February 2019 (EST)

It's just enemies affilated with Bowser and his Koopa Troop, like the Black Shy Guy. Any other enemies like the Gaugau and the Guragura are affiliated with other armies like the Black Sugar Pirates. Please help Gallery:Mario Kart 8, it's easy. Cyan and Pink Shy Guy got their quality resolved.--Hamshamcart (talk) 10:33, 3 February 2019 (EST)
But they're still retextures, and still are on the low end of the "need" scale. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 14:40, 3 February 2019 (EST)
They were already done, so please just finish up Black Shy Guy's quality situation and move on to more on the "need" scale like Stilt Guys' model design from Yoshi's New Island. Thank u--Hamshamcart (talk) 14:58, 3 February 2019 (EST)
You're missing the point. Stilt Guy's is even less important, because it's an ordinary Shy Guy model with added separate accessories. This also makes it much harder to do, as they are separate models for the Guy and the Stilts. Something important would be like uploading sprites for Yoshi Touch & Go, since it's older yet isn't complete. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:02, 3 February 2019 (EST) :::::Okay. -_- But finish the Black Shy Guy quality problem first.--Hamshamcart (talk) 16:08, 3 February 2019 (EST)
Why don't you try? If you got it initially on Steam, that means you can get Blender for free. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 16:18, 3 February 2019 (EST)

Ironically, I already got the image on Steam, I uploaded Cyan and Pink Shy Guy and Black Shy Guy after ripping them from that image, had to be unblocked before that, and now I'm waiting for the quality upgrade of Black Shy Guy, and yet they're not doing anything about it. Please get it done. Oh, and by the way, I uploaded color artwork of Gaugau. See if you and this wiki can find more color artwork of the remaining enemies and boss of Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3.--Hamshamcart (talk) 16:50, 3 February 2019 (EST)

What's "ironic" is that you're demanding other people do a thing you're probably capable of doing yourself. Just stop. Anyways, I'm curious where the coloring for that came from. The lineart is definitely official, as it matches up with the artMedia:Gaugau Perfect.png in Perfect Edition of the Great Mario Character Encyclopedia, but knowing what book that was cropped from would be great. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 17:31, 3 February 2019 (EST)

I got this from wikiwiki.jp while Google searching for Gaugau in its Kanjii. https://www.google.com/search?q=%E3%82%AC%E3%82%A6%E3%82%AC%E3%82%A6+wario&client=safari&rls=en&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjMprGs0qDgAhVoU98KHWNED48Q_AUIDigB&biw=1259&bih=686#imgrc=DtTDKFXD67VyiM: That crop could be from any of the Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 Japanese Game Guides.--Hamshamcart (talk) 18:07, 3 February 2019 (EST)
