Trivia

  • The New Play Control! version specifically refers to Orco as "he", officially identifying him as male. Despite this, Orco has several traits that are more commonly associated with real-world female killer whales. Most notably, Orco's dorsal fin resembles the shorter, more curved one of a female killer whale as opposed to the longer, triangular dorsal fin of a male killer whale. Additionally, several smaller killer whales follow behind Orco, which is a trait shared with real world dolphins. This is a similar case to another aquatic Animal Friend, Glimmer, who is referred to as male despite resembling a female anglerfish.
