Eggplant Men first appear on the second stage of the construction site in the game Wrecking Crew. An Eggplant Man runs around in a predictable pattern - he runs straight until he hits a Dead-End Drum and has to turn around. He climbs up or down any ladder he comes across in his path. If both a ladder up and a ladder down are in his path, he goes down if moving left and up if moving right.
Wrecking Crew '98
In the sequel Wrecking Crew '98, Eggplant Man is the second challenger in puzzle mode. He also appears in the original game on the same cart.
WarioWare: Twisted!
Eggplant Men made an appearance in the microgame Wrecking Crew, found in 9-Volt's stage. Here, Mario has to hit all of them with his hammer. If they touch Mario, the player loses the game.

Eggplant Man appears in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a collectible trophy.

Eggplant Man debuted as an enemy in the NES game Wrecking Crew. Even though his movement pattern was very simple, he was a fairly formidable foe, since Mario and Luigi had limited means of attack. You could beat this enemy by dropping a Dead-End Drum on him or by trapping him behind a door and blowing up the room. |
