Template:Species-infobox Hot Hootzes are common enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Hot Hootzes are red and orange Hootzes that wear a belt with a red Snowmad insignia. They cover themselves in orange flames when they attack, but lose the flames afterwards. Hot Hootzes function similarly to Tiki Torches from Donkey Kong Country Returns/3D.
Hot Hootzes are usually stationary and do not fly around in set patterns like Hootzes or Blue Hootzes. They attack the Kongs by releasing a fireball in their direction. When engulfed in flames, Hot Hootzes cannot be jumped on or rolled into. However, when a Hot Hootz throws a fireball, it loses its flames and is vulnerable to jump attacks for a short time. At anytime though, they can be attacked with a barrel or other throwable object.
Being first found in Swinger Flinger, Hot Hootzes continue to appear in levels including Crumble Cavern, Sea Stack Attack, and others.
