This PipeProject is devoted to improve upon the Characters in the Super Smash Bros. Series. Marioverse and SSB-only characters, items, and places are the top priority, while other second or third-party characters (such as Zelda or Pikachu), will be of secondary importance. Questions at the talk page.

Goals

  1. To make pages for all the characters in the series.
  2. To make pages for all the stages in the series.
  3. To make pages for all the items in the series.
  4. Bonus: Making Templates about the characters.

  6. Bonus: Making a Template about the stages.
  7. Bonus: Making a page about the Pokemon coming out of the Poke Ball.
  8. Bonus: Making pages about the moves.

Article Style

Basic Article Style

As on all pages of the wiki, Style guidelines apply. This includes especially:

  1. Names of games, especially in names, are itacilized: Super Smash Bros. Melee.
  2. The articles should be written from a "Mario point of view". This is not referring to Mario or the Mushroom Kingdom, but the Mario Series! Sentences such as "Mario crossed paths with..." are frowned upon.
  3. Keep the number of images in an article reasonably. You can add an artwork gallery to articles such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but it is not feasable for Cracker Launcher, for instance.
  4. There should be no point of view. Do not add any fan-based view. This is what it should not look like:

Sheik taking on a male appearance, actually stirred some controversy among fans, but Shigeru Miyamoto has stated that Zelda is a bit of a tomboy.

Information about other series

The Importance Policy clearly states:

As such, info about the Legend of Zelda series or the Star Fox series is not acceptable at the Mario Wiki. Only info from the cross-over is valid.

There should be no information coming especially from their series in articles about characters from other Nintendo games. In order to offer a brief description of a character, you can still refer to their SSBM trophy information.

Categories

Another excerpt from the Importance Policy:

Articles about such games should be written from the perspective of the Marioverse, and be placed in their specific franchise categories (Ex: Master Hand should be placed in the "Super Smash Bros. Enemies" category, but not the "Enemies" category).

Trivia

Stop adding completely useless trivia to articles! While a note on Mewtwo's gender is acceptable, fanboy-ish information such as

In the same way that Link acts as a much more braver Mario, and Zelda acts as a much more responsible Peach, Ganondorf plays the role of a much more evil Bowser. This is likely because The Legend of Zelda, and most of its characters, were made by Shigeru Miyamoto, who invented the Mario Bros. series.

have no place on this wiki.

Lacking information about Super Smash Bros. Brawl

When there is no information available about a character/stage/move returning in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, then do not state it, or even worse, say "possibly"! Not every single article must state that it is totally unclear whether it will make a return. It is much easier to state those who are confirmed to reappear, and listing them under the Brawl article.

Requirements

Each of the playable character articles should include:

  1. Brief Summary of Biography, Personality, powers and description (If not a Mario Character; If it is a Mario character then make a section on their page and list the powers they have in the game.)
  2. Which game in the series they first appeared in
  3. Move List
  4. Super Smash Bros. Melee Trophy Information (plus pic of trophy)
  5. Some images (At least one besides trophy)
  6. Game series they are in

Each of the nonplayable character articles should have:

  1. Which game in the series they first appeared in
  2. Move List (If applicable)
  3. Super Smash Bros. Melee Trophy Information (plus pic of trophy)
  4. Some images (at least on besides trophy image)

Each item should have:

  1. Pic (can be trophy)
  2. Description
  3. Game(s) it is in
  4. Series it is from
  5. Trophy (optional)
  6. What it does

Each stage should have:

  1. Series it is from
  2. Picture of stage
  3. Description
  4. Stage side-effects
  5. (Optional:Trophy and Trophy info)
  6. Games it is in
  7. Bonus: If it is in Adventure Mode as a side scroller (Like Underground Dungeon and Mushroom Kingdom), put that info in there.
