The giant bee is the third boss in the Game Boy and Game Boy Color game Wario Land II, and is fought at the end of the Maze Woods chapter. It has the appearance of a giant, deformed bee. It attacks Wario by flying around and swooping down at him to sting him, turning him into Puffy Wario. If this attack is dodged, Wario will have the chance to jump on the bee's head and do damage to the bee. When hurt, the boss will then summon smaller bees from nearby beehives to attack Wario. These small bees can shooed away by jumping at or on top of them without touching their stingers (which will also turn Wario into Puffy Wario). On the first hit of the Giant Bee, one small bee will appear. On the second hit, two small bees appear. On the third hit, two small bees will appear once more, with the Giant Bee joining in as well. A fourth hit will defeat the Giant Bee.
