Template:Level Kuchuka Karnage is the thirty-second level in the semi sequel to Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble, Donkey Kong Land III. It is also the second area of The Lost World.
Taking place in a large factory, this level, as its name suggests, is filled with several Kuchukas. However, that isn't the only main part of this level. Kuchuka Karnage is filled with many Barrel Cannons, shooting the heroes to higher areas and over abysses. This level also has some moving platforms to help the Kongs cross large pits. Bazukas make an appearance here, and their barrel shooting cannons can be useful when the monkeys need to cross some abysses. Other enemies in this level include the usual factory enemies, Karbines and Buzzes, along with other enemies, Klasps, Re-Koils, Sneeks, Knockas, and Kobbles.
Level layout
At the beginning of the level, the heroes have to walk through the dark factory and dodge a few Kuchukas. They eventually encounter a barrel perched at the end of the floor. They must jump in it and blast to a higher area. After that, they need to climb along a long tightrope and dodge enemies, such as Karbines and Klasps, until they find a safe area to stand again. From there, they need to hop over a Bazuka to enter an area full of elevators, moving up and down. Once they get over each elevator, they have to avoid another Bazuka and hop into a barrel to reach a higher area. There, they have to jump onto a small platform to find another barrel. This barrel shoots the monkeys to an area where they need to defeat a few Sneeks and get in yet another barrel. This barrel shoots them to a higher ledge from there, and then climb along another long rope. At the very end of the rope, they need to fall downwards to find the Star Barrel.
Halfway through the level, the group need to ride up an elevator and beat some Re-Koils. After crossing a small abyss, they need to dodge a Bazuka and cross another pit to find a barrel. It shoots them into a chain of barrels. The last barrel is a Rotatable Barrel, which they have to aim to the right to continue through the level. At this point, the apes have to avoid some Karbines and shoot through another barrel to grab onto a long tightrope. Climbing across it, they have to dodge more Karbines and some Buzzes. At the end of the long rope, they must drop down and land in another barrel. It shoots them farther downwards. There, Kiddy Kong and Dixie Kong need to drop down one last ledge to see the flagpole. Once this is touched, the level ends.
Secrets
Bonus Levels
- Near the beginning of the level, the heroes enter a section filled with a few elevators. On the last elevator, the monkeys need to drop down to the corner of the screen to land in a Bonus Barrel. It blasts them to a Bonus Level, where they have to collect many stars in another factory area. However, as this is done, they also have to watch out for the usual factory enemies, Bazukas, Kuchukas, and Karbines. After the stars are all collected, a Bonus Coin appears at the end of the area.
- Shortly after the Star Barrel, the Kongs get in a barrel and blast upwards. The top barrel in this area is a Rotatable Barrel. The monkeys, aiming the barrel, need to blast themselves to the left and land in another barrel. This barrel shoots them to the next Bonus Barrel. In its Bonus Level, the group have to jump into an Animal Barrel to turn into Squawks the Parrot. Squawks must then fly upwards, collecting stars, though while also watching out for Bazukas. Once all the stars are obtained, a Bonus Coin appears after the bonus's No Animal Sign.
DK Coin
- Right before the ending flagpole, the heroes can see a barrel. They have to carry it past the flagpole nearby and then find a Koin with the DK Coin. They have to defeat him to get it. Though his shield protects him from most attacks, the monkeys can use their barrel and throw it against the wall. As the Koin pays attention to the monkeys, the barrel will bounce back and hit him on the side, giving the heroes the DK Coin.
