Director's Notes (Paper Yoshi (talk))Hello, dear readers, and welcome to the April Issue of Pipe Plaza!! I have sad news to share with you, so let's get to that now. As some users may know, our former Statistics Manager, RandomYoshi (talk), has left the community, which means he has also left his position as Anniversary Announcements writer in the Pipe Plaza team. It's very sad to see a beloved member go, and I personally wish him the best of luck on his life. However, that does not mean Anniversary Announcements is vacant once again, as Turboo (talk) has taken over RandomYoshi's position, in order to keep readers informed of everything anniversary-related. Section of the MonthThe SotM poll for the March Issue got 25 votes, four more than the February poll. The March Section of the Month, with 13 votes (52% of the total), is... ...Upcoming Games, for the sixth time overall, the third in a row (a new record, by the way)!!!!!! As its name says, Upcoming Games, written by myself, Paper Yoshi (talk), covers news on the upcoming Mario games, listing details regarding those games, such as titles and release dates. Last month, we talked about the Nintendo Direct conference from February 14th, in which a ton of new games and new features for previously announced games were unveiled by Game Producer Shigeru Miyamoto and President Satoru Iwata. Community Report, written by Spotlight Manager YoshiKong (talk), got second place, with 6 votes (24%). RandomYoshi (talk) clinched a second Top 3 win before leaving: his last Anniversary Announcements section got third place, with 3 votes (12%). Well, I guess that's all, folks!! Now go on and read this issue!! Monthly Report (Paper Yoshi (talk))Hello, and welcome to the April Issue of Monthly Report! This is Paper Yoshi, here to show you the wiki statistics for April, along with March-April and February-April comparisons. (Credit goes to Stooben Rooben (talk) and Super Mario Bros. (talk) for the table coding. Stooben originally created it when writing this section back in Issues XXIII, XXV and XXVI, and SMB based his coding for Issues XXXIX, XL and XLI – which I am using in this issue – off of Stooben's coding.)
Community Report (YoshiKong (talk))Hey and welcome to the Community Report, here to keep you updated on the latest wiki happenings. So to begin, we've only had a slight change in MarioWiki Policy this month. Per a recently passed proposal, all fan votes for FA nominations will be removed on sight. These are the most recent proposals which have reached a consensus.
And the following are talk page proposals which have recently reached a consensus.
We now bring you the talk page proposals currently in progress.
And lastly, these are the most recent changes we've had to user rights.
And that's it for this month's Community Report! We hope that you enjoy the rest of the issue. Forum Update (MrConcreteDonkey (talk))Hey everyone, welcome to another edition of the Forum Update. As you may have noticed, April Fools day took place earlier this month. To celebrate this, I'll be doing something. But enough of this, why don't we see what happened in March on the Super Mario Boards? Top Stories A tab linking to the chatroom was added under the banner. Yeah, that's how boring March was. That seriously is the second most interesting thing that happened. I'll have to make up news if we keep being this boring. Souda-kun's temporary ban expired. Statistics
Green signifies the user is at a higher position than last month. Forum Games Currently ongoing Mafias are Saul Slendamann's (my) Mafia 2101, Time Turner's DigiMafia Adventure 2.0, Lily's (and, up until recently, co-hosted by RandomYoshi) Super Smash Bros. Brawl Mafia and Virion's Magnificent Mafia 2.0.
Well, that's all for now. Have a great April. Projects Seeking Contributors (YoshiKong (talk))Hey and what's up? Welcome to Projects Seeking Contributors. This section will bring attention to any new and active projects on the wiki where input and general discussion are needed. Let's start with the most active and recent projects seen on the Wiki Collaborations forum board.
And that's it for Wiki Collaborations. Once again, see the forum board for the complete list. Next up, we have the discussions which are currently taking place on article talk pages. These can be seen at Category:Unresolved talk pages. The list is as follows.
And that's all this months Projects Seeking Contributors. If you think you could help out with any of the issues above, please take part in the said discussion taking place. We'll be updating this section next issue with any new discussions that need attention. Tip of the Month (FunkyK38 (talk))Do you have an idea about how something can be improved? Do you want others' opinions on changes made to articles? Make a Proposal! If you have an idea about a specific article, place it on that article's Talk Page and include a link to it on the main Proposals page. If your idea concerns the Wiki as a whole, place it on the main Proposal page. Please be sure your idea is relevant to the entire Wiki and not just a smaller idea that could be fixed by talking to an administrator. Anniversary Announcements (Turboo (talk))Hello there, I'm Turboo with this month's Anniversary Announcements. First off, RandomYoshi (talk) (Forum Profile · Personal Message) has unfortunately left the community, and as a result, both the Awards Committee and his position as Anniversary Announcements writer. Following a vote in #mwikiawards, Uniju :D (talk) (Forum Profile · Personal Message) was kicked off the committee 9 to 1. YoshiKong (talk) (Forum Profile · Personal Message) has also resigned due to a busy schedule. In tournament-related news, Ralphfan (talk) (Forum Profile · Personal Message) has been named as Awards Mafia III's co-host. He will be hosting the game along with Smasher (talk) (Forum Profile · Personal Message) sometime later this year. The table below lists award changes since the last issue of the 'Shroom. If an award is not listed, it has not yet been discussed by the committee.
Mario Calendar (Paper Yoshi (talk))Hello, everyone, and welcome to Mario Calendar! As you can see, I finally got the console/store table idea to work, so that's something positive for this section. But let's not waste time; here are the Mario, DK, Yoshi and Wario games released in an April day:
Upcoming Games is absent from this issue due to lack of news, so that's all for the April Issue of Pipe Plaza!! See you next month!! |
