Template:Articleabout Template:Levelbox Spinning Sandstones, or Layer-Cake Desert-6, is the sixth level of Layer-Cake Desert in New Super Luigi U. The level is unlocked by completing The Walls Have Eyes's main exit or Stone Spike Conveyors. Completing this level will unlock Morton's Lava-Block Castle. This level is based upon Blooming Lakitus in New Super Mario Bros. U. The level features several moving platforms, with Piranha Plants being the most prominent enemy.
Layout
The first part of the level will feature several Piranha Plants and rolling platforms. In the second part a Lakitu will start attacking Luigi, along with more Piranha Plants.
Star Coins
- Star Coin 1: Luigi must jump over two Piranha Plants in order to get this Star Coin.
- Star Coin 2: A secret Beanstalk will take Luigi to an area with the second Star Coin.
- Star Coin 3: Luigi must kill the Giant Piranha Plant, revealing a secret area with the third Star Coin which was previously guarded by it.

- Near the middle of the level, one of the Stone Eyes has Luigi's face on it and an "L" on its forehead.
