Fruit from Yoshi's Story.

Fruit also appear in Yoshi's Story, where if a Yoshi eats thirty fruit they will advance to the next level. Fruit can often be found floating around in Bubble Pops. After eating a fruit, it will appear in the Yoshi's Fruit Frame. There are sixty fruit in each stage of the game: thirty Melons, twelve Lucky Fruits, and eighteen "ordinary" fruits.

In Super Mario Sunshine, fruits appear in every level of the game. Fruits are mainly used to feed Yoshi. Yoshi's egg will only hatch if the Yoshi's requested fruit is carried to him. If Yoshi does not eat a fruit every few minutes or so, his juice meter will empty and he will go back into his egg. Yoshi's colour depends on the fruit he eats: if he eats a papaya or pineapple he will be orange, if he eats bananas or a coconut he will be pink, and if he eats a durian or pepper he will be purple. Watermelons also make an appearance during the Watermelon Festival at Gelato Beach, where they are extremely large and very fragile. the Piantas hold a watermelon size contest and make watermelon smoothies during the festival.

Another kind of fruit appears in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, named Bean Fruit.

In Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, a Fruit resembling an Apple was found inside Yoob's Belly. This Fruit, aptly named "Fruit", was given to a Yellow Yoshi to help him regain the strength needed to help move a Chomp Rock.

Fruit is also used in Donkey Kong Jr., where it is used as a weapon. This fruit plummets downward upon impact with Donkey Kong Junior, and defeats any enemies it lands on. This fruit also appeared in Donkey Kong and Mario vs. Donkey Kong, as well as a few rare appearances in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis.

Fruit from the DSiWare title, Bird & Beans.
A fruit from the Pyoro games.

Falling fruit appears in the Pyoro games in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames. They appear to be an obstacle that can break the ground, so Pyoro can't go through there anymore, and can even beat up Pyoro if he touch it. However, these fruits can be eaten, or be defeated by shooting with their own seeds as ammo. Aside from a green variation, there is also a white-pink variation. If Pyoro eats these, a Tenshi comes to restores a piece of ground. If Pyoro eats a fruit further from the ground, he also get more points. But shooting the fruit always bring up the same amount of points.

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, along with the normal red Berries there are 3 special types of fruit: the Dash Pepper (a red pepper that transforms Yoshi into Dash Yoshi), the Blimp Fruit (a blue berry that turns Yoshi into Blimp Yoshi) and the Bulb Berry (a yellow pear-like berry that transforms Yoshi into Bulb Yoshi).

In Mario Sports Mix, fruit is one of the objects that need to be fed to Petey Piranha in the party game Feed Petey.

In Super Smash Bros. series, fruits appear as one of food items. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, fruits appear on the Tortimer Island stage, where trees bear them. Attacking trees that bear fruit will make them fall down, allowing players to grab them to recover health. Unlike the other fruits, Coconuts that appear are not edible and can instead be used as a throwing item.
