Template:Anotherlanguage Template:Species-infoboxGoal Mondos [1] (ゴールモンド) are a species of armadillo-like creatures from Donkey Kong Jungle Beat.
They attack Donkey Kong by curling into a ball and rolling towards him. Once they stop, Donkey Kong can use the Sound Wave Attack, causing him to engage a fallen Goal Mondo. He first kicks it into the air, and then, after hitting it back into the air a number of times, punches it into submission. Once defeated, they leave behind five beats.
They first appeared in the Apple Kingdom's level "Massive Canyon", where one resided at the end of the level. It will take Donkey Kong five hits to defeat it. One later appears at the end of the Peach Kingdom's level "Ancient Foundry". It will take seven hits to defeat it. Another Goal Mondo later appears in the Chili Pepper Kingdom's level Magma Coliseum.
Trivia
- When Goal Mondos get beaten, a jingle similar to that of Slot Machine Barrel from Donkey Kong Country Returns and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will play.
