Bear is a friendly NPC who appears in the Game Boy game Donkey Kong Land III. He is the only Brothers Bear not to have appeared in Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, and the only one to appear in this game.

Bear owns and runs the Sheepy Shops, that can be found in all worlds of the game, including the Lost World. When Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong enter his store, Bear will offer them the chance to play a memory game (provided they have a certain number of Bonus Coins at that point in the game), the goal of which is to match 10 pairs of cards (somewhat like Forget Me Not in Super Paper Mario). However, the Kongs have a limited amount of time in which to match all the cards. Depending on how many and which cards they've uncovered, Bear will reward them various items such as Banana Bunches, Extra Life Balloons, DK Coins, Bear Coins, and Stop Watches. (See the Sheepy Shop entry for more detailed information on the game.) For two coins, Bear can also provide the Kongs with hints, and for five coins, he can teleport them from one world to another. He replaces Funky Kong, who does not appear in Donkey Kong Land III.

"Bear" is identical in appearance to Bazaar and both the Donkey Kong Land III's instruction manual and Nintendo Power articles about the game only refer to him as "the Brothers Bear". This implies that Bear is not actually a separate character, but rather a generic stand-in for the Brothers Bears.
