Sweet Dream is a game board from Mario Party 5. In Mario Party 5 is a board map from the Dream Depot. It was created from dreams of desserts. Placed on top of a giant picnic mat, Sweet Dream is surrounded by lush bushes. Players had to cross all kinds of cakes and candy to get to the Stars. Stepping on a Happening Space will slice the part of cake you are on and take you to somewhere else on the board. Walking across a shortbread bridge caused it to fall apart, and another was formed on another direction (like the bridges from Bowser's Gnarly Party of Mario Party 4, but those took three passes to crumble). Three of the Happening Spaces on the board are on cakes, where if landed on, will get cut up by a knife. The cake slice would then take the player to a plate at the bottom the board. The Happening Space next to the small cake at the bottom-right part of the board activates a coin mini-game. Players had to throw candy balls in the cups on the cake to score coins. The more cups filled, the more coins won. Players that landed on the Happening Space at the top part of the board made the other three players come and throw a party with him/her. Then, the opponents spun a roulette to see what they had to give away: Capsules, Coins or Stars.
Story Mode
In Story Mode, Bowser and Koopa Kid attempted to take over Sweet Dream. But when the player (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Wario, Daisy, or Waluigi) came to stop them, Bowser made Koopa Kid do the fighting for him. Koopa Kid then split into 3 Koopa Kids: Red K. Kid, Green K. Kid, and Blue K. Kid. But the player defeated all three of them, and they turned back into the one Koopa Kid. He and Bowser escaped to cause trouble in another dream. This battle took place on a simplified version of Sweet Dream.
Trivia
- Sweet Dream might be a dream of the past Mario Party board, Peach's Birthday Cake.
- The board name is a term used to tell a person to sleep well.
