Cherries appear in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic, Super Mario Bros. 2, and the latter's Game Boy Advance version as collectible items. Many Cherries appear throughout Subcon, in every level. When five Cherries are collected, a Starman floats from the ground. In the remake, the character will say "Lucky!" each time one is collected, and a chime will play upon grabbing every fifth one. They also appear in the slot machines of the same game.
