The '''Flute''' is an item in the PC release of ''[[Mario's Time Machine (PC)|Mario's Time Machine]]''. It is the physical {{wp|flute}} that inspired [[Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart]] to write ''{{wp|The Magic Flute}}'' opera (although in reality, Mozart pulled his inspiration from a variety of sources, none of which included seeing nothing more than a standard flute). Before Mozart could look at it and be properly inspired, it is stolen by a time-traveling [[Bowser]] circa 1791, then exhibited in [[Bowser's Museum|his museum]] alongside other stolen and time-displaced items. It is later taken by [[Mario]] who then travels back in time to [[Vienna]] in an attempt to bring it to Mozart, albeit without knowing that Mozart is the person who needs it. The Flute is an item in the PC release of Mario's Time Machine.
