Boxer Waluigi[edit]

Hello, Waluiginumber123. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the {{aboutfile}} template, replacing the {{uncategorized}} template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

[[Category:Super Mario World images]]
or
[[Category:Super Mario World media files]]

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, there's several problems with the now deleted image you just uploaded, File:Waluigi boxer.jpg. First, you never mentioned the source of the image. Where did it come from? What game, if any, is it used for? For now I put a delete tag on it due to it seeming unofficial. Second, when you upload an image you need to categorize it, as explained in the above template. Finally, you didn't properly add the license for your image. When uploading, you need to click on the bar saying "please select a license", and then click on the license which best suits the image. Also, when you add an image to a gallery, you need to add it properly, as explained here. Additional information regarding images can be found here. Hello, please review the message above as you are still not doing it correctly. Can you also put sources on your images so we know if it's fake or not? Can you also not make unnecessary comments on the image? Thank you in advance! --KnightDarkNightKnight 14:29, October 16, 2020 (EDT)

Before you upload the images again, please tell us where you are getting them. They do not appear legitimate. If you want to use them for your userpace, you have to wait until you are autoconfirmed and then mark the images as such with {{personal-file}}. Continuing to upload them will result in warnings. Please stop not sourcing images on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing.
If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it.

Please review the rules above and source your images. --KnightDarkNightKnight 13:04, October 21, 2020 (EDT)

Hello, Waluiginumber123. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:

  • {{photo}} - Used for photographs of real-life subjects.
  • {{art}} - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
  • {{comic-scene}} - Used for scans of a comic.
  • {{comic-cover}} - Used for covers of comic books.
  • {{tv-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of television shows.
  • {{film-screenshot}} - Used for screenshots of movies.
  • {{video-screenshot}} - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use {{character-artwork}}.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

In addition to not categorising and providing a source for your files as explained above, you're not adding a license. I recommend going to Special:Upload to make your uploads next time as it's easier to fill out the details there. Continuing to upload without adding the necessary file information will result in a harsher warning. Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 19:36, November 7, 2020 (EST)

Please also make sure you're adding the image to the gallery properly, otherwise it won't show up. Gallery images are not added as thumbnails; they're added like this. Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 19:42, November 7, 2020 (EST)
