When you edit an article, please first use the :Show preview" button before publishing to make sure the all file link (and other stuff) works, so that you can fix any broken file links. Thanks! Doomhiker (talk)Artwork of a Topmini from Super Mario Galaxy 19:25, October 7, 2019 (EDT)

Mario Kart Tour[edit]

Hey there! Appreciate you're trying to help with adding tables for the preferred characters and such for tracks, but I've spent the past hour fixing them because you just copy and pasted them without actually making them accurate. If you're going to do them properly, please continue, but if not then let me or someone else do it because it just creates a big mess. SwampyGator (talk) 22:01, October 7, 2019 (EDT)

Mario Kart Tour Standard Challenges 2-5[edit]

You added some quantities to Standard Challenges 2-5. What is the source you used for that? For so far I know it is not possible to have completed 2-4 already. Tomoto17 (talk) 15:20, November 20, 2019 (EST)

Well, I’ve seen that Atlas found the quantities from the datamine, and when I saw the text I noticed that it might be the exact quantities. Bri (talk) 17:09, November 20, 2019 (EST)

Uploads[edit]

Hello, Bri-11. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:

Images Audio/video files

When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use:

or

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Hello, Bri-11. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below.

Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

When uploading images next time, please do not leave the file page as is; it needs to be filled in with file details as explained above (like how SwampyGator has done for his course icon uploads). So uncategorized must be replaced with , and the aboutfile template should be filled in properly if you're using it (otherwise it can be removed entirely). You also need to select a license from the "Licensing" drop-down menu on the upload page (in this case, "Video game sprite"). Hello, Bri-11. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must apply the proper license. A full list of licenses can be found in the file copyright tags category, but the following are the most common:

 • photo - Used for photographs of real-life subjects.
 • art - Used for artwork of something that is not a character.
 • comic-scene - Used for scans of a comic.
 • comic-cover - Used for covers of comic books.
 • tv-screenshot - Used for screenshots of television shows.
 • film-screenshot - Used for screenshots of movies.
 • video-screenshot - Used for other screenshots, such as those from YouTube.

When uploading, select the license from the drop-down box below the summary text box, or add the license manually after uploading or if you're using the upload function from the text editor. For example, artwork of Mario would use character-artwork.

Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Don't include multiple copyright templates; choose the one that you feel best fits the file. If you continue uploading files without applying the correct license, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing.

Please remember to add a license to future uploads. Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 05:10, February 12, 2020 (EST)

If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

You were reminded twice about this but all of your recent uploads have been missing these again. You only need to select it from the "Licensing" drop-down menu when you upload. Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 18:38, February 26, 2020 (EST)

Lastwarn.svg This is your last warning. The next time you break the rules in any way, you will be blocked from editing the Super Mario Wiki.
If you feel this last warning was undeserved, you may appeal it.

It's not difficult. Please start adding licenses to your uploads. Rosalina costume pose in Super Mario Maker Mario JC 19:10, February 27, 2020 (EST)

Signature kart sets on Ice Tour[edit]

Hey man, thanks for making double sure on who had what kart sets in the Ice Tour, it was just getting really confusing for me on how to tell. SonicSpeed48 (talk) 13:09, January 28, 2020 (EST)

Two things[edit]

The first thing is on the Mario Kart Tour page, and that's where the high-end spotlight drivers find the error. Wario (Hiker) is one of the regular hight-ends.
The second thing is why can't I edit anything? I can't even create my own page.--TheKerberos01 (talk) 08:49, February 12, 2020 (EST)

MKT Peach Tour icons[edit]

Hey Bri, since you're uploading the rest of the Peach Tour's icons, here's the rest of the MKT icons I previously uploaded so you can upload the direct sprite rip:

-Royal Raceway with Pink Gold Peach

-Royal Raceway T with Peach (Wintertime)

-Royal Raceway R with Peach (Wedding)

-3DS Mario Circuit T with Koopa Troopa

-Neo Bowser City R with Pink Gold Peach

-Mario Circuit 3R/T with Hammer Bro

-The bonus challenges for the Koopa Troopa Cup, the King Boo Cup, and the Pink Gold Peach Cup

Hope this helps! SonicSpeed48 (talk) 21:21, June 26, 2020 (EDT)

"Mario" and "Yoshi" character attributes[edit]

Hello! Thanks for helping out with the glider's page change to the new format, however there were some errors that I was able to correct later. Faster is not always better! That's why I recommend using your Sandbox before mainspaceing huge projects like that one. Anyways! The character attributes are hidden in the game's code and are not stated directly anywhere in the game. The name, however, is part of the driver's description hence why it's not considered a character's trait. Hope that's clarified! Keep it up! GamblerMario (talk) 17:53, September 6, 2021 (EDT) P.D. I used the order of "Super/Normal/High-End" for the availability tables because that's how the player and the programmers reveal the characters on a first play. Also the character's list is already in character selection order so no need to repeat.

Modification to the favored and favorite courses template[edit]

First of all, thanks a lot for the template for the list of favored and favorite courses, it's definitely needed and will be really useful for the wiki.

Sorry if I'm intrusive, but I tested a small modification to it to further save space: if the icon has the same name as the driver, kart and glider's page, you won't need to add the link, it will be automatically added. This way you don't need to write the same name twice, further saving bytes. The approach works, so I'll now apply it to the whole template. If you need more information or if you want me to apply this approach to a copy of your template and to revert the changes to your own template, just reply here in this talk page, so we can keep a clearer to follow discussion.--Mister Wu (talk) 20:23, December 14, 2021 (EST)

Got it. --Bri-11 (talk) 20:28, December 14, 2021 (EST)
I made the modifications, they seem to work but if you find any bug please tell me. By the way, I made the template look for the image name rather than the link name so that the link can be omitted for the additional drivers, karts and gliders. Sadly, the edit won't be as useful as it can be right now since the image names miss the spaces, forcing the use of more link names than we should use. If the list page is still too big after using the template, renaming the images so that more link names can be omitted might be another area of improvement.--Mister Wu (talk) 21:40, December 14, 2021 (EST)
