I noticed you added a claim of a decoy Shy Guy returning in Yoshi's Island DS. Any idea what level it appears in? Niiue (talk) 17:07, 31 January 2016 (EST)

"transwoman is considered a slur"[edit]

Excuse me? Since when? From what I've seen (and note: I am one), it is the proper terminology. As far as I'm concerned, it is nothing resembling a slur, and I honestly consider the claim that it is to be what is actually offensive. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 02:00, September 22, 2023 (EDT)

I'm just going off of the consensus that I've observed from the vast majority of trans people that I've heard from and spoken to (side note: I myself am nonbinary). I have met other trans people who've used "transwoman" to refer to themselves, but I've met far more people who view it (and, by extension, "transman") as derogatory, since it's widely associated with the TERF talking point that trans women aren't real women and consequently have to be categorized separately. Bowserbros (talk) 1:37, September 22, 2023 (PST)
Hrm. I just don't want the same thing happening to it as a certain r-word. As many people seem to be trying to do with "trap" (ie another word for a gender-nonconforming group that these days is almost exclusively used proudly by self-identifiers, but carries a stigma with certain people outside its meaning). File:Flag of World.png[edit]

Hello, regarding this flag you uploaded for worldwide release dates, are you sure this is the flag for the world in general? As far as I know, this is the flag for the United Nations specifically, which is a worldwide organisation and not the same thing. It was mainly chosen out of pragmatism, as there isn't an official flag of Earth (although many have been proposed); the UN flag was simply the closest available option given its widespread recognition, its history, its relative neutrality compared to other unofficial Earth flags, and its role as a symbol of internationalism. While it does invite questions over including countries that aren't part of the UN (e.g. Taiwan), it ultimately isn't too different from grouping non-EU countries like the UK and Russia under the EU flag when listing simultaneous European releases. Nintendo regions[edit]

Hi. A week ago I added additional information about the Nintendo region to accept (see here). Since you edit this page often, can you give me some feedback whether it is useful in some way or not? Thank you.--Enteria (talk) 13:01, March 2, 2025 (EST)

I noticed it and have been slowly combing through it. It's definitely useful, the main question is how to best organize the myriad of regions in the "formerly supported" section.--Bowserbros (talk) 17:56, March 2, 2025 (EST)

Nintendo World Store in Saudi Arabia[edit]

Hi! Today, I split off the non-Nintendo New York info onto a new page, List of official Nintendo stores. However, I'm struggling to find any information on the store in Saudi Arabia. That one link you added to the NY page prior to the split is practically all I can find...and where did the name "Nintendo World Store" even come from? Was it translated from the Arabic? Its Facebook page doesn't use it: https://www.facebook.com/StoreInRiyadh. I'm also wondering if this store possibly closed, if we assume it was operated by Shas Samurai, given this happened: https://nintendosoup.com/nintendo-of-europe-takes-over-saudi-arabia-new-distributor-installed/. Even then, the store's Facebook hasn't updated since 2016... So yeah, are you able to find more information on this store and if it even still exists? Thanks! Technetium (talk) 13:12, March 13, 2025 (EDT)

Update: Doing more research, I've figured out the store closed sometime between 2019 and now - looking into it for a more concrete date. Either way, I'm not seeing any mention of it being called "Nintendo World Store", the mall website it was on only ever used "Nintendo". Where did you get this name from? Technetium (talk) 17:55, March 13, 2025 (EDT)
I'll admit that I snagged it from the Wikipedia article for Nintendo New York and assumed that it was an accurate translation from Arabic, since it had also provided accurate information about the names for the other international locations. Not really the smartest editing decision in hindsight, especially given that I usually tend to be more scrutinous about this sort of stuff. Bowserbros (talk) 23:56, March 13, 2025 (EDT)
