- That was a mistake, I'm sorry as it was disproportionately disruptive, this won't happen again. Please don't block me for that, I made a terrible mistake --Bryce Wilson | talk 05:09, 16 October 2011 (EDT)
- I'm not going to block you, just please try to refrain from typing things like that in the future, even if it's on your own talk page.
I can't do that, only Sysops can.

Archiving
Do not archive simply to put a ended discussion/section away. Only archive when your talk page reaches over 32,000KB. Also, please create a visible link to your archive on the current talk page.64Fan (Discussion)
- Why can I not? May I please have a link to the policy regarding this? --Bryce Wilson | talk 09:30, 16 October 2011 (EDT)
- It is a recommendation on nearly all wikis. 64Fan (Discussion)
Re:Vandals
Yes, I realized that; that's one of the things that confirmed them as being sockpuppets. We only block IP addresses directly in extreme situations, and since he's only created one sockpuppet account to vandalize with and hasn't created any more as of yet, I wouldn't say the situation's exactly out of hand at the present time. Don't worry though, if an IP address ever needs to be blocked directly for something along those lines, we'll make sure that it happens.

Generic Info...? (Mario Kart 7)
Okay, I'm trying to figure out here -- in the case of "generic information" (especially in the case of Mario Kart 7), what did you have in mind? It's just that as I said on the respective talk page there that although we're striving to keep important stuff on the articles on this Wiki, we're trying not to look like Wikipedia as well. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 11:00, 26 October 2011 (EDT)
- I mean, right now, I think the article, and many others, are mainly just about the gameplay, and no other information is provided much if at all. I think if we add other information (just not gameplay), such as coverage of it in the news, quotes about it, etc. the article would be more balanced. --Bryce Wilson | talk 19:41, 26 October 2011 (EDT)
This grammar mess.
The reason is but it probably doesn't matter to you,my parents took me out of secondary school due to how frankly crap it was,so i never really learnt grammar but I'm currently in a step up program for collage, and I am learning better grammar now just know that I'm trying my best. Re: Italic conflict....
Why an italic template? is the use of double apostrophe really annoying? As for the Policy Page edit, that depends if the page is protected or not from users. Look at the page's history to see if another user has done an edit there. ¢oincoll€ctor
- It italicizes the titles of pages, similar to a fashion done on many wikis. So the title will be displayed as Mario Kart Wii if I put the template on top of the page. Similar to a fashion like this. --B.wilson talk 21:44, 1 November 2011 (EDT)
Ah, I get it, but not, that's not necessary in this wiki. ¢oincoll€ctor
Basically we don't stick of what Wikipedia makes to its pages an the use of italic on titles like that are unnecessary here because it has no purpose. ¢oincoll€ctor

RE: Regarding this edit...
I'm not from the US myself, I live in England, but that's the format all other proposals on the Wiki use, and it looks a lot more uniformed if they're all the same. Don't worry, it's nothing too big. MrConcreteDonkey 06:07, 3 November 2011 (EDT)
- Okay, understood. Clearly the standards here are very different from other wikis... :-) --Bryce talk contributions 06:15, 3 November 2011 (EDT)

re: your proposal
while I'm not sure about having yet another template for something most readers aren't going to care about, I do think the idea of making the citations more professional has merits and I don't think you should have been so quick to delete it and its assets. who knows - others might have agreed!
re Excuse Me: The edit reason was in reaction to what I perceived to be unnecessary passive-agressivity in the deletion reason and hasty judgement - both of Walkazo (for reducing her genuine concerns as "not wanting to make the wiki more professional) and the rest of the admin team (for judging our attitude toward being professional based on the statements of one person). Admitelly I probably went too far and I apologize for unwaranted rudeness.
anyway, that was my 2 cents. --Glowsquid 22:11, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
- Thanks for your message. The only problem is that Walkazo is like - one of the top contributors here - so when she opposes, everybody else does to. I hastily closed it, mainly because of that. --Bryce talk contributions 22:18, 4 November 2011 (EDT)
- I won't deny there's a strong vote sway going on in the proposals page (a point a former admin tried to make here infact). But from what I've seen, civil and substantial arguments (ie: not ALinkToThePast/NARCE-level of single minded irritability) will more often than not attract voters even if there's one "big" voter on the opposing side. --Glowsquid 22:34, 4 November 2011 (EDT)

Reminder
Please stop violating the Courtesy policy on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
B.wilson, your recent conduct toward other users and the administration is unbecoming of what we expect from users of the wiki, in particular your edit summary here, this section, your comment here, and how you've been conducting yourself on the Proposals page are all unacceptable behaviors around here. Antagonizing people about less-than-proficient language skills is uncalled for. Remember that quite a few users don't speak English as their primary language, and keep in mind that children make up a significant percentage of the userbase. In the other examples listed, you come off as condescending and arrogant, especially when it comes to other users' opinions. It would be in your best interest to show more respect to your fellow users and to be more impartial in your overall editing. Thank you for your consideration and keep contributing. Mario4Ever (talk)

Hi!
Hi, i'm YoshiKong, but my real name is Ben. Can I be your friend, because you sound like an awesome guy and I have visited your userpage and we have similar interests in music and stuff.
Your Subpages
The content on your subpages "User:B.wilson/Userpage" and "User:B.wilson/Userboxes" has been moved to your main userpage, which is where it was being transcluded to anyways. Subpages meant solely for transclusion onto the main userpage (or other subpages) are generally frowned upon except in the case of archive templates or userspace navboxes which allow you to change content on many pages at once. You are free to re-add the tags you had. Thanks and keep contributing, ( | )
- By the way, it is impossible for anyone except for sysops to edit userpages and if a sysop wants to edit your userpage, they probably have a good enough reason that "Please don't edit" won't deter them. Not telling you to remove that or anything, but it just seems a bit redundant to me. ( | )

RE: Regarding Dstheisen (I hope I got that name right...)
Just got your message and snagged the time to respond; I handed out the ban against him just now. I checked the evidence and it seems he seems to constantly change course names and such in relation to Mario Kart 7 to the English names from NOA's version of the game -- even though it's protocol that the version that gets released first get top priority (article/course name wise) around here. This had me conclude he possibly might not have read the policy thoroughly enough. Thanks for letting us know about it. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 01:04, 23 November 2011 (EST)

Incivility
This isn't really important and kinda hard to put in words (at least for me it is), but in that edit summary you linked to, was the way it was worded appear to you to be a insult to Hosy (as in "**** you HAHA".)? If so, I wasn't intending to insult him, I was being sarcastic as in "Fugue? Get it, it sounds like **** you! HAHA SO FUNNY (Not)". But yes, it was a regrettable action on my part either way.64Fan (Discussion)

- Your proposal, regarding the warning template, has met its deadline. However, it seems that you'll have to extend the deadline, because there's currently a draw with the number of "Semi-Change" and "Don't Change" votes. M&SG (talk) 19:09, 3 December 2011 (EST)

RE: Edit-summary on {{News}}
Sorry about that. I acted in a very rushed way which, mistakingly, led me into undo an edit made in good faith. I shouldn't have acted like this — my apologies. I have also found a part of a policy that, while it doesn't state it right out, it kind of implies that it isn't the best and wisest of ideas to undo an Administative and/or a Patroller edit. I will also take the liberty to state something about Talk Page Proposals — custom signatures are allowed in the comment section only, though they are — as I think that you're aware of — always a bad idea to use on the actual Proposals page. My Warnings
Hello. Recently I have been given a few warnings which to me are not all quite fair. Me making links to non-existent titles is a way to show people an article needs to be created for them. As for the discussions, I was wrong to remove some although someone qualified NEEDS to revise them. Also, expanding the article for Wuhu Island by giving a detailed text about it shouldn't be removed and warned about. I thought this Wiki wanted as much info as possible, and Wuhu Island IS related to the Mario-verse. Miis are in the Mario-verse, and Miis are also in Wuhu. Deleting my work was one thing, but giving me a warning was another. I am asking you to please revise at least one of my many recent warnings. Thanks USer:JORDANDEBONO
- Your complaints have nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with what you were warned for. You were warned for disrupting, for removing others' comments to add your own all caps screaming, and adding links to non-existent titles which will never be created. If you think that wasn't fair, then ignore the warnings you have been given and be a constructive editor. --Bryce talk contributions 03:41, 10 December 2011 (EST)
OK OK as you say.....thanks for your time anyway. Please remove this query as soon as possible since you have the right to. User:JORDANDEBONO

Warning
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (abusing warning privileges) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
You cannot issue fake warnings to anyone under any circumstances. Doing so falls under abusing warning privileges and is a violation of the rules. Please keep this in mind when editing, and refrain from doing this again in the future.

Notice: Your Appeal
Your appeal against the warning that Phoenix (talk) issued you is invalid as it breaks Appeals Rule #1: "Reminders and/or Warnings given by an administrator cannot be appealed." Also, from the same Courtesy Policy you cited, please be aware that "if the administrators feel that you should have known better than to act the way you did even without an unofficial request to stop, your warning will not be removed." You should have known better, since in our Warning Policy (which is cited by the Courtesy Policy that you were seemingly reminded about early last month), "abusing warning privileges" is a Level Two Offense and results in a {{Warning}}. · SMB (Talk) · 14:27, 16 December 2011 (EST)

Listen
B. Wilson, what you need to do is just think this through for a second. Are you really going to throw a fit because of a warning? Pulling the "guilt card", yelling at SMB and Phoenix, and retiring before they can say something back is what you are doing. Stop. At least stop making a fool of yourself and calm down. Mario Wiki is not wikipedia, and vise versa. Just try to think what you are doing through before you end up realizing that you were some jerk that was in the heat of the moment. Baby Mario Bloops
- No, I'm not throwing a fit because of a warning. And I will NOT calm down. They want to block me simply because I did not know "abusing warning privileges" is the same with "changing the wording of warnings". So please stay off my talk page and stop "yelling" at me. --Bryce talk contributions 21:09, 16 December 2011 (EST)
- However, I am not yelling at you. Instead, I am trying to prevent you from damaging what you still have left here. There has been much issue about the fake warnings, and many proposals over it. Although vague, what you did was abusing it as you were taking what was legal document of a warning and vandalized it for your own use. They don't want to block you, they just wanted to make sure that you would understand not to do that. A warning shouldn't be the end of the world, and I know that you know that as well. Even if you felt like it was wrong, doing what you are doing is below the level of what you are. Baby
- I understand what you mean, and telling me about this in a plain message would have been more polite then to give me a hasty warning. --Bryce talk contributions 21:16, 16 December 2011 (EST)
- Don't worry about it. They only gave you a warning mostly for the fact that both you and Yoshi Kong were doing it. If it was just you, I'm sure it would have been a simple reminder. Just know that every user is different, and have a different level of tolerance. Just try not to let your actions get in the way of what's right and wrong. :) Baby
- I understand what you mean, and telling me about this in a plain message would have been more polite then to give me a hasty warning. --Bryce talk contributions 21:16, 16 December 2011 (EST)

- And about those warnings, please don't sweat at all about them. Again, they didn't want to hurt you or be mean to you or try to make you seem foolish. All it was was to make sure that you realized your mistake before it could get worse. They are only looking out for you, and they only care about you. ;) Baby

Mhm
Excuse me B.wilson, but your recent conduct on the wiki has really been...inappropriate to say the least. This is not a warning, this is not coming as a message from the admins. This is a message from me, as it is me who has noticed your attitude problems. Firstly, every time you receive a warning, you immediately complain about it and explain how you were not in the wrong, or how you did not know it was against the rules, or how this or how that. What it boils down to is basically you being unable to accept the warnings. And then you go ahead and do something like this as a result.
Secondly, your constant complaining about this website's policies is completely unwarranted. We are not wikipedia, and you need to understand that. We will not have the same policies as wikipedia, even if they are "better for the wiki" (in your opinion) because we are not wikipedia. Wikipedia does not have the best policies of all wikis, they have policies that work for them. And we have policies that work for us. Trying to merge the two together will be met with failure.
Finally your constant insults towards the administration because they "refuse to do anything" is disrespectful and rude. Even not as an administrator, I would know that it is wrong to claim that any user who has faithfully edited this website for over three years (as several members of the administration have) does not care about the wiki. I think you should rather turn around and look at yourself to see if you have a problem.
I realize that you will probably respond to this like you respond to most people trying to talk sense into you - with impolite responses, overreactions and defiance of any err on your part - but this message really does need to get out there.
P.S. Phoenix's warning was perfectly valid, as per this proposal. -- ( | )
- Yes, I do have a problem. As a child, I always had complaints about everything. And I had issues with my cold temper which made my parents and my siblings angry altogether. I'm still young and have these problems. If that's not acceptable here and you have an issue about it, then I'd like to pack up and leave, and never come back unless these problems are out of my way. I apologize if I have caused any inconvenience to you and your esteemed colleagues. Thanks. --Bryce talk contributions 23:20, 18 December 2011 (EST)
- I agree totally, you do have a problem. And it is evident in your last post, no issues with your complaints about everything, no issues with your cold temper. My issues are with your constant threats, "do this OR ELSE", "be nice to me OR ELSE", there doesn't have to be an "or else". Look at my post, there was no "or else" - you were perfectly capable to ignore me (as you did) or even ridicule me in return (as you did), free of punishment. You are still allowed to do so, and you no doubt will.
- But you need to stop threatening with "OR ELSE"s or people will stop believing you, maybe they'll just stop caring. In no way have I asked you to leave the wiki, in no way have I asked you to deal with your problems. I am of course hoping you will deal with them, but I am not asking you to do so; I am simply bringing them to your attention and expressing my distaste for them. So leave the wiki if you want, it is your decision, but I do not want to have played any part in making you leave as it is not my wish that you do so. ( | )
- P.S. Oh and the snarky edit to your post was a very nice touch, just to try to make it sting. But I expected this to sting, so I really don't care. I'm doing this on my own accord, without input from any of my "esteemed colleagues", thank you very much.
- That was not in any way any attempt to ridicule YOU. I apologized to you and your colleagues and said that I would not edit here anymore without correcting my problems, and then comes this reply. --Bryce talk contributions 23:39, 18 December 2011 (EST)
- I did not mean ridicule me, sorry, I meant ridicule my message and (in the case of the edit) my colleagues. If you did not mean to ridicule anything, then I apologize for assuming you did. And apologies are all good and well, but what I really am hoping for is to see some changes in your attitude. This does not mean I'm hoping for you to leave the wiki, which is just avoiding the problem. I hope you continue to edit, and that you try to take my advice to heart. It's easy to say sorry, it's a lot harder to mean it. (

- I hope I can change my attitude so the wiki can live more comfortably, and apologies for my past. --Bryce talk contributions 23:58, 18 December 2011 (EST)

DON'T GO!!
You have been a great friend Bryce! Please don't leave the wiki just because you recieved a warning! Please!
(If this does not persuade you, then I will join Wikipedia and we'll keep in touch, okay?)

Withdrawing proposal?
By opposing with "To withdraw this proposal", do you mean you want the Warning Template TPP cancelled by the admins? Cancelling the proposal means we can go ahead and de-link the images on all the warning templates right away (and the Blocking Policy will probably get linked to as well), whereas we'd have to wait a month to do anything if it fails, which would be a shame. - Walkazo 12:53, 21 December 2011 (EST)
- Yeah, I want it cancelled --Bryce talk contributions 23:24, 21 December 2011 (EST)

User talk pages
It is not forbidden to socialize on user talk pages, as stated here. Mario4Ever (talk)
- Must say, this user has been on quite a few external wikis that I'm on, and has done nothing other than to socialize on my talk page (it got him blocked once) yeah, i must have been too hasty to issue that. We must wait to see his first mainspace change. --Bryce talk contributions 12:14, 24 December 2011 (EST)
