The hero of the Mushroom Kingdom and initially the only playable character. He sets out to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser in World Tour mode. Unlike the other playable characters, Mario does not have any unique moves and he runs at an intermediate speed. Like Luigi and unlike the other playable characters, he begins courses in his Small form and only attains his normal size when he touches a Super Mushroom. N/A 1.0.0

Luigi
Mario's twin brother. Luigi jumps higher than his brother and scuttles his legs when he jumps. Like Mario, he begins courses as Small Luigi and must touch a Super Mushroom to return to his normal size. According to the notebook, he is shy and easily scared. Recruit 150 Green Toads and 150 Purple Toads through Toad Rally to unlock Luigi's House, which costs 1000 coins to purchase. Then place the building. Can also be unlocked instantly as a gift when purchasing the full game, through an in-game limited-time special offer.[1] 1.0.0
