Tips, Secrets, Hints, and Cheats for Mario's games!

Since this is Blitz's last month as Director of the 'Shroom, I'ma dedicating this issue to him!

Secrets: Half-Life 2 Luigi's Mansion (GCN) Luigi's Mansion boxart

So, let's start out with...Luigi's Mansion! I was gonna do Half-Life 2, but FTMV has to be about Mario games. What a load. Anyway, so I heard you like cheese. Well, there's a lot of Cheese in Luigi's Mansion, and when you find it, you can earn a lot of money! Whenever a piece of cheese is seen, use the Game Boy Horror to examine in; a gold mouse ghost will come rocketing out of teh cheese. So, be sure to suck up the gold mouse with the Poltergust 3000 so you can earn a lot of money. Here's the locations of the cheese:

  • Floor one — dining room underneath a chair.
  • Floor one — room with the crystal ball behind the fortune teller.
  • Floor two — study behind a desk.
  • Floor two — dining room at the back.
  • Floor three — trophy room behind a chair.

Tips: Super Mario 64 (N64) North American box art of Super Mario 64.

Now, what would an issue of FTMV dedicated to Blitzwing be without...

*drum roll*

SNUFIT BALL!

The Snufit Ball is awesome, and it deserves to be covered in FTMV. How exactly am I going to fit info about Snufit Ball into FTMV, you ask? Simple! I'll tell you what not to do around a Snufit Ball. In fact, I'll write it like an article to prove it can be an article.

Snufit Balls are large spherical projectiles that are black in color. In Super Mario 64 and Super Mario 64 DS, Snufits would shoot Snufit Balls from their mask in order to inflict damage on Mario, Yoshi, Luigi, or Wario. Before firing the Snufit Ball, the Snufit would inflate somewhat like a balloon, and after firing, would return to its normal size. The Snufit Ball would cause two bars of damage to the player, thus, if he or she had been hit with four Snufit Balls in a row, their game would be over. The Snufit Ball can be relatively easy to avoid. By quickly running in the opposite direction that the Snufit Ball is coming in, the player can avoid being damage by the Snufit Ball. However, this is the only way to avoid being damaged by the Snufit Ball. Yoshi, though he can eat most things, cannot eat the Snufit Ball; if he attempts to eat a Snufit Ball, he will take the same amount of damage he would have if he had been directly hit with the Snufit Ball. It is unknown what the Snufit Ball is actually made out of. Though it is a large projectile, it does not explode; rather, it simply vanishes in a brief puff of dust after hitting it's target or the ground.

Hah! Take that, opposers to the creation of the Snufit Ball article!

Anyway, I'd like to wish Blitz the very best. I've enjoyed working under him greatly. To me, he was the greatest Director of The 'Shroom, and it is very likely that he always will be. Blitz, I hope you enjoy your life outside of being Director. So, now you can just relax. ...AGGRESSIVELY.

Good games, Bad Games

by MisterJaffffeyPeteyPiranhaBanana.gif G0 Issue XXII

Hello people of the wiki! Hope you had a great Thanksgiving, but enough of that, let's get down to the games. This month, we'll delve into the most popular sport in fall and winter. You guessed it, tennis. Mario Tennis games are probably some of the greatest sports games, but they actually got of to a bad start in the gaming universe. So let's review these bad boys, shall we?

Good Game: Mario Power Tennis

For once, I'm not going to be favoring an N64 game. The Mario Tennis for N64 isn't bad or anything, it's just that I've never played it. Anyway, Mario Power Tennis was released for the GameCube as a sequel to the N64 game. It casted a lot of original Mario characters, which are all unique in their own special way. Each character has 2 special volleys, an offensive and defensive power shot. The offensive whacks the ball at a high speed and inflicts a status condition on the opponent (and no, this isn't Pokemon), while the defensive allows the player to hit the ball no matter where it is and negates the status conditions of an offensive power shot. The characters themselves are also unique as well. You have most of the people from the N64 game, and add people like Bowser Jr., Shy Guy, Fly Guy, Wiggler, and *Dramatic Drum Roll please* Petey Piranha. Epic. Each character is divided into their own class (balanced, technique, power, speed, etc.) The gameplay is also a real joy and is easy to learn. You can choose to play a singles match (1 on 1) or doubles (2 on 2). I prefer doubles because it's always reassuring knowing that you can blame the other player for your mistakes. In conclusion, characters rock, gameplay rocks, this whole game is a real winner in my book, so its definitely worth a gander.

Bad Game: Mario's Tennis

Contrary to fact, Mario Tennis for N64 was not the first Mario Tennis game. The real first game was released on the Virtual Boy under the name Mario's Tennis. How bad is this game? Well just think about it. It was released on VIRTUAL BOY! You know, the worst Nintendo console ever released! If you are unfamiliar with the horrors of this failure of a system, let me summarize. The Virtual Boy was released as a portable system, but was awkwardly shaped. You had to hold it up to your eyes, while also holding the controller. The games were also only in black and red, so it would be confusing to tell the images of the game you are playing. Before I get further into this review, I must say that I have not played this game before, but I have seen videos and it looks awful. To start of, you have your run of the mill characters (Mario, Luigi, Peach, etc.). But, there isn't anything different about these characters. So what was the point of having different characters? In fact, what is the point of making it a Mario game? It should probably just have been a generic Tennis game. They made a golf one, so why not Tennis?

The controls for this game are terrible. Whenever I see a video of this game, players continually miss the ball. It's not because they aren't good at this game, it's due to the faulty controls! Imagine playing any video game, but the A button only works half the time. You'd die alot and it would be near impossible to complete the game. That is what it is like to play Mario's Tennis. It's also short, boring, and repetitive.

This game was so bad that Mario fans ignored it and went on to the greatness of the Nintendo 64. So there you go, a good game and a bad game. Have a merry Christmas and STAY AWAY FROM THE VIRTUAL BOY!

Beta Elements

by LuigiZ3r0 Tw0Zerotwo.jpg

In honor of Blitzwing's retirement as director, we'll look at:
Super Mario 64/DS, featuring Snufit ball!

This issue will be a bit different, because it covers two games, so we'll start off with beta elements from the original:

1. The oringinal title was to be Super Mario FX, referencing to the use of an FX Chip. Luigi was said to be playable in the original, but was oddly removed.

Blargg...With no eyes.

2. Two removed enemies, a tan Cheep-Cheep and a Blargg, were seen in beta screenshots. But they never appeared in the final game for uncertain reasons.

Now we'll look at some of the newer elements of Super Mario 64 DS

Super Mario 64 DS
Every character once could fly.

1. In the beta version, screenshots prove that all four characters were to fight Bowser at the exact same time. Others show that every character could utilize the power of wings, not just Mario.

2. A mysterious purple rabbit was shown in a beta screenshot. The purpose was unknown, and why it was removed is unclear.

3. A co-op mode was planned for the game, which allowed two players to use Wi-Fi connectivity to play the normal star-collecting mode together.

Now those were some interesting elements (at least I think so.) But the truth and speculation behind them is just as interesting as the elements theirselves.

Element 1 (SM64). Well first of all, it's not all too significant that the game would use and FX Chip or be called Super Mario FX, but Luigi as a playable character? That is what is important here. Being a natural Luigi fan, I would buy this game in a heartbeat on the Virtual Console. But he was taken out of the game probably due to memory restraints. Thankfully, the sequel allowed him and two others to be playable characters.

Element 2 (SM64). Now two removed enemies isn't much, but why they were removed is really unclear. They probably wouldn't take up much data space, so why exactly were they taken out? My belief is the fact that they may have been hard to avoid enemies that take your life away faster. Having Blargg swallow you or a Cheep-Cheep on your tail wouldn't exactly be easy to avoid, right?

All four character face up against Bowser in an early screenshot of Super Mario 64 DS.
It's true, all four of them.

Element 1 (DS). All four characters could battle Bowser? I wonder how that would work. Maybe you'd have to alternate characters while beating him, or maybe it's just a fancy way of making a character select. But either way, it would be pretty easy using Luigi with his super-backflip-helicopter move to get through the last level. As for all four characters flying, that'd make the game all too easy. With already cheap moves like Luigi's backflip, having all four fly is just not right. But the spirit of this element lives on in Multi-player mode.

Element 2 (DS). One word, Waluigi! No, probably not, but the idea behind it is fascinating. I, personally believe it's just a neutral rabbit, somewhat like the silver rabbit idea; find all of them and you get a star. But why would it be purple? Well readers, what do you think?

A scan of a earlier depiction of a Bunny in Super Mario 64 DS.
So purple!

Element 3 (DS). Like New Super Mario Bros, (ironically was my last beta element subject.) the idea of co-op play was removed due to data restraints. But it would've been epic to play the game with another person, am I right? The multi-player idea was able to stay with the game, and their were actual in game areas used. But that's nothing compared to getting 150 stars with your best friend.

Alright, enough talk, let's get to buisness. So for the original game, both elements seem tempting and interesting. Luigi as a playable character is always awesome, and those removed enemies would be really cool to see. I still wonder on the Cheep-Cheep, though. A replacment was done though. As for the remake, option 3 is the only good one to me. Every character battling Bowser would be tough, and all characters flying would be too cheap. And who cares about some purple bunny? But co-op play is always epic, and this game would be no different. So that's all for now. And thanks to Blitzwing for suffering through all this time as director!

Review

by Storm Warrior (talk)

Hello, fellow wikians. Welcome to “Review Corner”. I’m your host, Storm Warrior, and today, we are going to be reviewing one of the most recent Mario Party games, #8. Some of you might have thought it was the worst Mario Party ever, but is it really that bad? Let’s find out. This review contains a few spoilers though, so skip the over-all if you haven’t beaten Star Battle Arena yet.

Boards

This game has 6 boards. 5 of them are already there in the start, but 1 needs to be unlocked. DK's Treetop Temple is the only “ordinary” board in this game. As usual, you have to find the star, pay 20 coins for it, and it’s yours. Then, another star arrives. Why can’t most boards be like this? Goomba's Booty Boardwalk, unlike what Captain Goomba says, is not harder to walk than a greased plank. It’s way easier, thanks to the dolphins and the free stars. This is actually the one that beginners want to do. King Boo's Haunted Hideaway is the most luck-based board. (How come all the cool-theme boards have to be luck based?!) You’ll have to take chances and experiment with this board, because it’s not like the last time you played it. Shy Guy's Perplex Express is my favorite board in this game, but it sucks having to go 1 path and have to go a path twice as longer to get another star. Koopa's Tycoon Town is similar to Monopoly, except it’s takes a less amount of time, and you don’t put houses or hotels on the board. And finally, Bowser's Warped Orbit is like Pyramid Park from the previous game, except it has crueler ? spaces, and you steal things with 2 candies.

Minigames

Overall, most minigames, like Boo-ting Gallery, are good, while others, like Cut From the Team, are bad because of the player’s need for luck. Come on Nintendo! Not everybody is lucky!

Candy

Personally, I’ll prefer items and orbs than candy. It’s nice to do things like steal coins on the start of the turn, but putting traps on spaces is a bit more fun. It builds up suspense when you have landed on a space that your opponent put an orb, item, etc. on. And we also get 5 coins when we land on our hexed spaces! I’m glad they put hexes in Mario Party DS. And besides, eating candy is bad for your teeth.

Star Battle Arena

Like most Mario Party solo modes, you play on a smaller version of the board with a few different rules. You play against 5 people, hoping to win a year’s supply of candy. When you “beat” the Arena, McBallyhoo shows you your real reward, the Star Rod. However, Bowser steals it, and the only way to get it back is to beat his minion. After you do that, he gives it back to you and you start a fight with him. Beat him and you officially win. I think it has an OK story, mostly because the last mini is a bit fun.

Over-all

Unfortunately, this is the worst Mario Party because they removed some great stuff from the last parties, especially Bowser/DK minigames! However, it doesn’t mean it has lost its fun. I like using the motion control for the minigames. I rate this game a 6.5.

Brawl Tactics – Issue 2

Welcome back to my absolutely wonderfully exciting ‘Shroom section, for the second issue. Unlike some writers, I have endured the horrific torture dealt out by our boss as he forces us to write faster. SO, now I will discuss strategies for the character Toon Link, while attempting to ignore the excruciating pain in my hand. Ouchie.

Toon Link

Last time I did Zelda… (*sigh* - I mean “last time I discussed Zelda”), a character rarely used, and now I’ll move onto the cartoony version of Link. Despite his size, he packs a fair bit of power, and this goes well with his agility, which is far superior to the non-cartoony Link. And unlike ‘’some’’ characters *cough – Sonic - cough* , he’s not so fast that he’s impossible to control. So, about his moves: Now, his Down Special mover is not very good – Bombs. The maximum damage one can cause is only 8%, and the time it takes to pull one out and throw it, also factoring in the probability of missing against a fast and/or smart foe… makes them pathetic. As for his standard Special – his Bow and arrows – well, they’re not that great either. The most damage they’ll do is 12%, which is… meh, all right I guess. But, this is only when you pull the bow to its maximum charge-up power, which takes too long in a wild, fast-paced game such as Brawl. And any decent player can use a dodge move in time. Now, his Side Special is the Boomerang. (w00t – a reference to Australia!) This is basically a superior option to the bow. You don’t have to charge it up before throwing, and its maximum power is almost the same as a fully-charge arrow. The power of the boomerang is determined by the speed it’s moving at when it hits. If you’re standing right near an enemy, the boomerang will hit them at high speed and therefore cause large damage. The further the boomerang flies, the more it slows down, becoming weaker. So, try and use it close up. As for controlling it, well – if you tilt the control stick horizontally (which you have to as it’s the Side Special), it will go straight left or right. However, you can make it curve diagonally upwards. To do so, tilt the control stick left/right then quickly curve it diagonally up. You should learn it after a bit of practice. The remaining Special move is the Up Special. This is the Spin Attack. Now, I’d say this is the best Special for Toon Link. You can use it instantly if you release the button straight away, but you can also charge it up for a more powerful attack. (you can only charge for a short time before it automatically releases the attack) Just say you’re battling 3 opponents and they’re all over you. Well, a quick spin should knock them away and disrupt their moves swiftly. There are different situations where a charged-up spin is better. For example, if the opponent is falling from above, a powerful spin will send them flying and prevent their attempted landing. Oh wait – I haven’t even mentioned the power of this move! Basically, it’s his most powerful Special, dealing up to 20% per foe when fully charged. Considering how easily you can hit multiple targets, that’s a lot of damage. Oh yeah – and this move is also Toon Link’s main recovery move (you know, for getting back onto the stage after being knocked off). It works pretty well, so make sure you use it when the need arises. You can also use his grappling hook thing (press A and B simultaneously), but this is harder and it doesn’t reach very far. As for his Smash attacks (the A button moves… on the Wii Remote + Nunchuk at least), they’re very potent. To see how good they are, go into Training mode and unleash a Down Smash, Side Smash, etc, and witness their sheer power – both in damage percentages and knockback. They’re awesome. Oh, one last thing: His Final Smash. Much like mature Link, this guy has Triforce Slash – an awesome attack. It’s mostly the same as Link’s, except that the range is slightly shorter (I think…), and – well, it’s still awesome, so who cares. Just make sure the opponent you want to hit is close enough and horizontally aligned before you use it. It’s extremely powerful, so very likely to KO. And that’s that. Sadly, I only got one person giving me a suggestion for next issue’s character(s), which was Ivysaur. I will probably discuss Ivysaur along with one other character. So, ‘’’please’’’ give me feedback on this section!

Until next time, keep drinking juice. Ciao. Dom (talk)

Character Comparison

by Marcelagus (TCE)
Rookie
That's Mama Mr. Luigi to you, Mario!

Characters: Rookie vs. Mr. L

Idea Submission:
WK

As readers may already know, I’ve been advertising, in the past few issues, that your ideas that are submitted to me might make it to the section. You can do that via my talk page or at the topic at the forum called “Character Comparison Ideas”. And yes, this is the remarkable first time I’m using somebody else’s idea. Kudos to you, White Knight! Anyway, Rookie vs. Mr. L. I like this. It is essentially the kind of comparison that gets very interesting. They seem unrelated, from different games and such, but yet have much in common, and much in contrast. Here we go.

Physical Appearance

Rookie

Oh by the way, when I say Rookie, I’m talking about the Bowser one; I hope you got the message by looking at the big pixellated picture on the left up there ;) . He basically has all of Bowser’s characteristics, to put it simply. The biggest characteristic is the blue mask on his head; Popple also has a mask on his face. Rookie’s other notable detail is his hammer, which he frequently used in the battle(s?) against the Mario pair. Otherwise, it’s just Bowser. Nothing else to say, really.

Mr. L

Mr. L has one of the sickest (in a good way) costumes in the game. His handkerchief, his mask (also apparent for Rookie), and his gray gloves. His logo, the backwards L, is also relatable to him. Otherwise, he is very much similar to his alter ego, Luigi. There’s more or less to compare about the characters to their original selves than to each other, but it’s still interesting to see what physical appearance changes can affect the whole mood and character of a character.

The Original

Rookie

So this category discusses the original versions of the two unique characters. First, starting with Bowser. Bowser had never been the main villain in Superstar Saga in this point of the story. In fact, he was on Mario’s side, trying to get the Princess’ voice back. So, we could say this is one of those cases where an ally, or somebody thought to be as an ally, betrays you and goes to the other side. I actually don’t remember how Bowser got on the bad side(sorry!), but Luigi was also on Mario’s side in Super Paper Mario, until…

Mr. L

Mr. L is awesome. Probably one of my favorite characters of the game, really. From Luigi and Mr. L, a drastic character change, as well as physical, happened. So, good-hearted Luigi, who tried to stop the wedding of Bowser and Peach was trapped by Bleck and the like. But by the time Mario and his party were to meet Luigi again, he had turned in to the Mr. L most(if not all) Paper Mario fans know him as. Luigi later joins Mario as an ally in Chapter 7, with his awesome high jump.

Character Traits

Rookie

This category should be fun. Actually, Mr. L probably had the more definite character, as Rookie only appeared once or twice in the game as Bowser. He hooked up with Popple to steal stuff, occasionally encountering the Mario bros, getting defeated each time. (Now don’t tell me you got a game over on somebody like Rookie and Popple. Really.) I also don’t really remember what happened with Rookie after that, as in, how did he become normal, but you could tell he was not recognizing himself as Bowser.

Mr. L

Ah yes, that Mr. L. Not only a bad@$$ costume, but a pretty funny character too. It’s funny because it’s ironic. Luigi is good-hearted, but yet cowardly. He is brave(did I just say that), but weak(er). Mr. L is the entire opposite. He is strong, arrogant, evil, you name it, anything that’s not Luigi in the slightest. He even had his robot, and Mr. L was sinister. But in a much humorous way. Great character, great game. Super Paper Mario wouldn’t have been the same without Mr. L.

Wrapup

While you were reading the comparison, you probably already have guessed who will win. So Click “Show” if you want a pleasant surprise.

WINNER<showhide>__HIDER__<hide>
Artwork of Mr. L from Super Paper Mario

ROOKMR. L – I just gotta give this to Mr. L. Although I do like Rookie in Superstar Saga, it doesn’t nearly amount to the greatness of Mr. L. It’s too bad we probably will never see either character in any future games, but I’m looking forward to more Luigi alter egos. (Weegee? *shot*)

Our current director is retiring, so we have.... *drumroll* a Director Election!

Director Election

It's that time of the year again, the Director Election!

What is This?

  • This is an election to decide the new director of The 'Shroom. Naturally, the one with the most votes wins the title.

Duties of the Director

This is what you must do if you win, so read carefully.

  • The director must accept or decline all new writers' ideas for sections they want to write.
  • The director assigns a section to users who want to write, but don't know what to write.
  • The director gives out a warning to users who have not yet sent in their sections one week before The 'Shroom is due.
  • The director puts The 'Shroom together, and edits the front page, the single page, the 'Shroombox template, and the Shroom Issue template.
  • The director writes the Director's Notes section, which comments about the month's issue.
  • The director includes the due date of the next 'Shroom in the Director's Notes, and in the Shroomwarning template.
  • The director gets to choose their Core Staff, this is: Fake News, Fun Stuff, Music & Art, Pipe Plaza, Critic Corner directors and Sub-Director.
  • The director must send applications to users who want to become writers.

Looks easy? It is not. So get ready.

Now get out there and go!

A lot of good choices... ill have to think about this for a bit. Luigifreak
I have to truthfully say, I didn't expect so many support votes. O_O — Stooben Rooben 17:40, 21 December 2008 (EST)
thats rite. Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???
Wow 32 people voted for St00by! He's in the lead. GrapesGrapes Grapes

Stooben will phail like the others, but... McWolf

How wonderfully optimistic! Thanks so much for your helpful views! :\ I believe in you, Stooby. BLOC PARTIER.
Wow, MCDimentio being a trolling moron. Surprise? --Blitzwing 13:04, 22 December 2008 (EST)
It's comments like that that'll make it even more certain that I'll do my best, just to prove him wrong. — Stooben Rooben 23:36, 23 December 2008 (EST)
McDimentio? Don't you mean Mc Wolf? GrapesGrapes Grapes
He got a name change. BLOC PARTIER.
Oh. GrapesGrapes Grapes

I feel that Stoob really does deserve to be Director, but if he is only going to be on 1 hr. a day, will he be able to do his work on time? MisterJaffffeyPeteyPiranhaBanana.gif G0 Issue XXII

yah come on hes st00by he can do anything :O Super-YoshiMust...eat...sig...Talk? C???

=D Lol. GrapesGrapes Grapes

Yeah, although I feel sorry for the other competitors being up against the most popular User on the entire Wiki... I really want Stooben in charge. (He payed me to vote for him.) th_DimentioSigLeft.png Dom »» McTalk th_SMKDimentiobyStooben.png

Jaffffey: I've rearranged my schedule quite a bit, so I should actually be on for around 3 hours a day, which is more than enough time to get things situated. :D S-Y: lol Dom: I actually feel some guilt about that too. While I have the feeling that some of my support votes may be "fan votes" (for lack of a better term), I feel more than confident that I won't let any of my supporters down. — Stooben Rooben 21:50, 3 January 2009 (EST)
Yeah, even though Stooben is popular, i think he is responsible and hardworking. Luigifreak

Yeah, it's a good thing Stooben is both popular and reliable, as I wouldn't support him even if he was my friend but not a good User worthy of being a Director. He has both of these qualities, which is a rare and wonderful combination. th_DimentioSigLeft.png Dom »» McTalk th_SMKDimentiobyStooben.png

Well, thank you! I appreciate everyone's kind comments. =) — Stooben Rooben 00:39, 6 January 2009 (EST)
Hey, you deserve 'em Stoobs! :D Good luck with the job. LuigiZ3r0 Tw0Zerotwo.jpg

I really hope you win Stooben, you really deserve to win the Director Election. Mario5x.pngMario5x (talk)Mario5x.png

Thanks, guys. All this encouragement is making me feel even more able for the job! — Stooben Rooben 22:40, 7 January 2009 (EST)

I'm rooting for you, Rooben Stooben! I looked at everyone's userpage, and you are definitely the one for the job. I think you are both dedicated and skilled. TutiFrutti112

Stooben so far it look like you are going to win, lets all hope it stays that way, you have to win i'm ROOTING for you, we are all ROOTING for you k. Mario5x.pngMario5x (talk)Mario5x.png

Stoob reallie deserve to be the new Director! And, wow, that isn't a little number of votes... Minishyguy.PNG Guy Tim Minishyguy2.PNG

Stooben you are going to win, I mean look you have 47 votes currently but, Stooben would you add more ideas if you win or would you just leave it, but still I am ROOTING for you dont forget it k. Mario5x.pngMario5x (talk)Mario5x.png

I appreciate the support guys, thanks! As for new ideas, I do have a few. I thought a section where users could submit questions, suggestions, and comments on the paper could be cool; then the next month, the Director/staff of the paper could respond. I also think after my talk with Son of Suns that a section that allowed fan work should be allowed. As he pointed out, and I have always thought, a lot of The 'Shroom contains information that can be found in articles already. There's a few other ideas in the rough, but I'm still working on them. — Stooben Rooben 20:46, 15 January 2009 (EST)

Thats good Stooben, as for the rough ideas I am sure you will be able to work on them with no problem k. Mario5x.pngMario5x (talk)Mario5x.png

How bout adding a non-mario game review?? TucayoSig.png It sounds good to me
Not a bad idea. I might try that. — Stooben Rooben 23:18, 16 January 2009 (EST)

Stooben, you have good ideas! What's a journal without the everyone's part? Minishyguy.PNG Guy Tim Minishyguy2.PNG

hey stoob, are you still gonna send the warnins? I rely on those like pancakes. MisterJaffffeyPeteyPiranhaBanana.gif G0 Issue XXII

Just a slightly nervous question: When will the first Shroom section under your rule... er, direction... be due? I noticed today is the election deadline (well, in my far-ahead-of-the-US-timezone-in-Australia), and obviously you have won it, Stooben (woot!).

th_DimentioSigLeft.png Dom »» McTalk I rely on warnings like muffins. th_SMKDimentiobyStooben.png

Yeah, I guess I did win! :D Awesome. The next issue of The 'Shroom? Well, I was thinking maybe February 14th? I thought it'd be easy to remember because it's Valentine's Day. — Stooben Rooben 04:57, 19 January 2009 (EST)
Phew, that's heaps of time! But I'd better do it while still on holidays, else my amnesia will curse me. Bleck... Valentine's Day... a day of nothing but self-hate for me. Oh, and I'm very glad you won, Stooben! You'll be an awesome director... but are you sure you can handle it with your status and stuff? th_DimentioSigLeft.png Dom »» McTalk th_SMKDimentiobyStooben.png I have a problem when I try using the sig code... :/
Cool, I can't wait to get your section in. Thanks again! Yeah, I can handle it. If anything, I'll have to wait until Friday to know exactly when The 'Shroom is due. I'm going to try and work the due dates to fit my schedule, as well as make it easier for others. Also, what problem is that? — Stooben Rooben 05:18, 19 January 2009 (EST)

I just noticed that the Main Page is out of date, as it says we're currently having a director election. Can someone remove that (probably a protected template)? th_DimentioSigLeft.png Dom »» McTalk th_SMKDimentiobyStooben.png
