The 'Shroom:Issue 128/The 'Shroom Spotlight
Shokora: Welcome 'Shroomers to another edition of The 'Shroom Spotlight! This is where we bring attention to a small group of articles selected from various maintenance categories and highlight what improvements could be made. To take a small holiday from all the 3D Mario hype we've been having this year, our theme for this month is 2D games! Now I shall pass you on to Yoshi876, who will review our progress on last month's Spotlight focuses.
Yoshi876: Last month wasn't as successful as some of our previous months, but it was by no means a failure. Four out of our six focuses were fixed, and the two that weren't do come from some obscure sources. However, obscurity didn't prove to be an obstacle for our stub focus, Monster Mixer, as Toadette the Achiever (talk) was able to add a bit more information. However, as it was only a sentence that was added, and it was on the design of the device I do need to remind you again. Stubs are articles that lack information, not ones that are short. Yes, many stubs are short, but not all short articles are stubs. Moving on to our other successes, 7feetunder (talk) fixed up the terrible writing that plagued Tubba Blubba, TheFlameChomp (talk) added a great layout section to Broozers and Barrels and Eldritchdraaks (talk) managed to recapture File:Mario Seek.png without the IGN logo.
And now, let's look at our focuses for this month.
Article | Category | Focuses |

Fruit is supposed to be healthy for you, so why don't we have an article on this healthy(ish) minigame from Game & Wario?
Here lies the ruins of a half-hearted article. Help us rebuild it by giving a more detailed description of what the keys are used for.
The very flat antagonist of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door has been working with the very flat Shadow Sirens to fill this article's history section with overly lengthy paragraphs and flowery language. Let's put it through the paper shredder.
The Wario Land 3 information is good, but the Doctor Mario 64 information is dire. If Silky's role in the game is to be diagnosed, we need a lot more information about it.
This mish-mash of American locations is missing one very important American thing: an image of the board's layout in Solo Mode. What else could be more American than that?
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, the glorious Gold Fuzzy enemy happens to not drain HP. However, this article says that they could in pre-release versions of the game: a claim that isn't worth its weight in gold without a reference. |
Thanks for tuning in to the newest edition of The 'Shroom Spotlight! Be sure to turn up next month, where we'll be reviewing the progress on the above focuses. If you have any questions or suggestions about this month's set of article focuses, then please get in touch through the dedicated topic if you have a forum account. If not, then please contact Yoshi876 or Shokora on their wiki talk pages. You are also welcome to make suggestions on what you think we could focus on in our next edition. Thank you, and good luck!
