Template talk:About
You want to know what this article is for? Well look at the Wario Woods article. It says at the top something like This article is about the game. For the location the game takes place go here. Well, this is what the new template is for. You can change the title if you want. Sysops delete this if this is not needed. Paper Jorge ( Need to tell me something? The new version seems to have problems with italicizing within the parameters. Just see Yoshi's Story (stage). - Cobold (talk · contribs) 15:53, 22 August 2007 (EDT)
Old or New Design?[edit]
I actually liked the old design of this template better. Plus, I thought about making a redirect template similar to this one ("X redirects here. For information about Y, see Z" - just like in Wikipedia), and I think the borderless design would work better for the redirect than the articleabout template. What do you think? - The box feels odd to me. Italics work perfectly fine. -- Son of Suns (talk)
- We could work on the design of the box, but currently the text just floats around and can easily be missed. Just my two cents... Time Questions 16:51, 23 December 2008 (EST)

New template[edit]
I just created a template called Sectionabout I hope you like it. -- New Supermatt Bros. 04:12, 14 December 2013 (EST)
The "about" template[edit]
I have only now discovered that a proposal was made to remove links to disambiguation pages made via the "about" template, but I do not agree with the change. Just out of sheer curiosity, I often have found myself wanting to know about a subject that shared the same name with the article I was currently on, and had to manually search it because there was no "about" template. This is a rather petty complaint, but why use the search function when the link could already be there? -- -- KOOPA CON CARNE 15:41, 3 January 2018 (EST)
No full stop[edit]
How about a paramater that prevents one or both sentences from ending with a full stop? For context, this would be when one of the articles mentioned in the template is, for example, Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros., or Super Smash Bros. RickTommy (talk) 00:51, June 20, 2020 (EDT)
