Can we say these look like Viruses?[edit]

I've always thought these enemies look kind of like Viruses. Trouble is, it's not like viruses have many design features, so like, maybe it's just any angry looking enemy with an open mouth. Is this resemblance main-text-able? Salmancer (talk) 08:26, January 1, 2025 (EST)

...I'll be honest, this is the first time I've ever seen someone draw that comparison, and to be frank, I would not have seen it at all prior to this comment... and even after that, I can only kinda see it, but I don't think that's enough to really make note of it. Viruses have large, conjoined eyeballs (or eyesockets?) with yellow pupils (or red, in Yellow Virus's case); whereas Snag-Stiches have small, squinting eyes with black pupils and red irises, and have these notably big, bushy, angry eyebrows you commonly see on Blargg and its variants. Speaking of which, it's actually the Blarggs that Snag-Stitch reminds me of; the big, bushy eyebrows, the big maw, the orange color, and the fact that both are from the Yoshi series... honestly, if it even had the same kind of eyes as a Blargg, I honestly would've thought it was another Blargg variant (alas, there's no "Unbaba" in its Japanese name), but given that it doesn't, it too might be too coincidental to make note of it in the article. UPDATE: When they get hit, their eyes become even smaller white pupils with black irises (no black sclera to be seen), making them look even more like Blarggs (though still not having the same kind of pupils, to be fair), and even less like Viruses. Also, in the Umbrella Yoshi segment of the level they appear in, some of them move around on looped tracks in a similar way Fuzzies do, which their maw and lack of limbs also resembles. I think that settles it. Comparable to Fuzzies for track based movement, open mouth and edges design, and mostly being invincible. Salmancer (talk) 11:43, January 1, 2025 (EST)
Technically not "tracks" (tracks aren't background things, and this game has regular tracks because of Snowy Mountain Lift Tour), but "comparable" can be fuzzy like that.Salmancer (talk) 11:55, January 1, 2025 (EST)
