Does this remind anyone a little bit of the old "Peach's frying pan" article? Super Mario RPG has two different parasols with separate functions. The floaty one appears briefly in two cutscenes, and that's the one the remake assigns the modern design, also appearing in the Spare-Us-All Triple Move that doesn't require the other parasol to use. The second parasol is another one that can bought as a weapon. The second can probably be split from the article while the first remains. It's odd that "Parasol" directs to a Super Smash Bros. item from another series. (For that matter, Animal Crossing: City Folk/New Leaf seems to be the only source for the name "Peach's parasol" unless I'm mistaken.) LinkTheLefty (talk) 06:00, August 5, 2024 (EDT)

I'd be in support of moving Peach's Parasol to a generic Parasol article while leaving the Kirby series Parasol in Super Smash Bros. in an anchored disambig page. BabyLuigiFire.pngRay Trace(T|C) 16:53, August 5, 2024 (EDT)
How different would a generic Parasol article look compared to the current one? Unlike the frying pan that had several notable appearances unconnected to Peach, Peach's parasol has a distinctive look. LinkTheLefty (talk) 08:54, August 6, 2024 (EDT)
To me, it makes sense to split the SMRPG Parasol weapon to Parasol (weapon) (which is currently a redirect to that very section anyway), and rename the current disambiguation page for parasols to simply Parasol. ArendLogoTransparent.pngrend (talk) (edits) 10:00, August 6, 2024 (EDT)
Makes more sense to me. Think we should put this to a proposal? LinkTheLefty (talk) 10:15, August 8, 2024 (EDT)
I think we should move the Super Mario RPG weapon Parasol to its own page and keep the rest as is. Pretty much all of the parasols Peach is seen with is her usual parasol. -- Artwork of Rosalina used in Mario Party: The Top 100, Mario Kart Tour and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
