I think that he is actually Toadbert from the Mario and Luigi rpgs. Notice his very similar appearance and the fact that the "Blue Toad" has glasses. It could be Toadbert.

Yes, it's already written "Blue Toad shares many similar characteristics and looks similar to the characters Toadbert and Russ T. as they are all blue-spotted Toads, are intelligent, and wear glasses.". But there are also some differences, so I don't think they are the same or that we should merge.

Rename to "Blue Toad (Toad Brigade)"?

Now that Captain Toad's game is released, it seems somewhat inappropriate to name this page after the character's first appearance as opposed to his general role. The Toad Brigade appears to exist in Captain Toad's game, so this name seems more appropriate. This would also apply to Yellow Toad (Super Mario Galaxy). Name Change

So, was he ever officially Blue Toad?
