Can you see grodus after you beet the game?[edit]
Can you see Grodus after the game? (I don't mean the epilogue ) --Yoshi104 20:31, 14 February 2010 (EST)
- The last time you ever see Grodus in the game is after you beat the Shadow Queen and he has no body. The game doesn't save after you beat it though, so the answer to your question would probably be no. Fawfulfury65
Speicies?[edit]
Is Grodus a robot? Or some other thing? Or does he just go with part of the X-Naut speicies? Its-a-meYoshi!
Althougth he might look like a robot, note that the X-nauts are a living organization, which means their alive (except Von Grapple's bots).

Featured[edit]
At the Featured Articles page, it says that this article was unfeatured at 04:25, 6 October 2010. But why there is a star saying "This article has been featured"? YoshiFan1200 (talk) 23:07, 15 February 2013 (EST)
Move?[edit]
I think this should be moved to just "Grodus". He's only ever called "Sir Grodus" by the other X-Nauts and TEC. Otherwise, it's always just "Grodus". I would say that "Sir Grodus" is to "Grodus" as "Lord Bowser" is to "Bowser". Blinker (talk) 11:43, July 28, 2024 (EDT)
- Yeah, I agree. Speaking of, Lord Crump is still called "Lord Crump" most of the time, right? --Technetium (talk) 11:48, July 28, 2024 (EDT)
- Yes, Crump keeps the "Lord" part even in battle text, unlike Grodus. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 11:59, July 28, 2024 (EDT)
- I knew that about the battle text, but I was also wondering about other characters' dialogue. I don't think he should be moved too, but I wanted to double check if we're discussing Grodus. --Technetium (talk) 12:01, July 28, 2024 (EDT)
- Crump is sometimes called "Lord Crump" even by non-X-Nauts. Goombella's line "In my travels, I heard a rumor that Lord Crump and Grodus were both still alive." is a good example, since it shows the difference between the two. Blinker (talk) 12:51, July 28, 2024 (EDT)
- Good point. You could probably go ahead and make a proposal for the move then (or possibly combine it with Admiral Bobbery -> Bobbery stuff, I'm not sure - I'd talk to User:Nightwicked Bowser). --Technetium (talk) 12:57, July 28, 2024 (EDT)
- This was something I thought about as well and would support, but keep this seperate from Flurrie and Bobbery as that's a different scenario. Nightwicked Bowser 13:41, July 28, 2024 (EDT)
- I'm not entirely sure about this because the Elder Princess Shroob has a similar quirk where in-game text just refers to her as Princess Shroob, and the fact his full title is used in-game at all is still more legit than her article, and I'm still supportive of keeping the Elder Princess Shroob the way the article is. I also do like the consistency between Sir Grodus and Lord Crump. Ray Trace(T|C) 14:00, July 28, 2024 (EDT)

Move to Grodus[edit]
This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit any of the sections in the proposal. If you wish to discuss the article, do so in a new header below the proposal. |
Move to Grodus 10-0
The similar proposal about moving Admiral Bobbery to Bobbery reminded me to come back to this. Just like with Flurrie and Bobbery, if not more, Sir Grodus is typically referred to as just Grodus. That is basis enough for the move, I feel.
Now, in the section above, Ray Trace did mention the example of Elder Princess Shroob and Princess Shroob, where the former's full name is not even used in-game but still used for the article title. However, the difference there is that if she wasn't called "Elder Princess Shroob" or something along those lines, there would be two characters sharing the same name from the same game - how would you even make the distinction between the two article titles? And while the consistency of Sir Grodus and Lord Crump is nice, I think consistency with how other character article titles are handled on this wiki is far more important.

Support[edit]
- Technetium (talk) As proposer.
- Sparks (talk) Grodus is usually referred to as "Sir Grodus" by the X-Nauts, which is similar to how Bowser is referred to as "King Bowser" by his minions. Bowser isn't usually known as King Bowser by Mario and such, and the same case applies for Grodus. Only their minions refer to them with superiority.
- Super Mario RPG (talk) Per Technetium and Sparks.
- Nightwicked Bowser (talk) Per proposal
- Jude da Dude (talk) Why not? I humbly accept.
- Pseudo (talk) Supporting especially on the basis that this is the name used for him when battling him as a boss (even though "Sir Grodus" would not appear to raise character limit concerns considering other, longer enemy names), making just "Grodus" seem more like his primary name.
- Blinker (talk) Per all
- Mikan-chan (talk) Per Sparks.
- Tails777 (talk) Yep, yep, that's a per all.
- ThePowerPlayer (talk) Per all.

Comments[edit]
Regarding Sparks' vote, interestingly Grodus isn't even always called Sir Grodus by his minions. Lord Crump simply calls him Grodus after the defeat of Magnus von Grapple 2.0, for instance. --Technetium (talk) 18:46, August 15, 2024 (EDT)
- Huh. Seems to be inconsistent then. He's still mostly referred to as "Grodus" though. Sparks (talk) 18:48, August 15, 2024 (EDT)
- Meanwhile, Lord Crump is called as such at least one additional time in the remake. A line from a Jabbi post-Chapter 2 is changed to say "Lord Crump" instead of "Crump" like in the original. Interesting stuff. --Technetium (talk) 18:52, August 15, 2024 (EDT)
