Thats weird, whenever I type in Feather, it doesn't redirect me to Cape Feather, it just brings me to the Feather article, completely un-redirected. And yet, when I try to edit it, it just says #REDIRECT Cape Feather. -- Sir Grodus

Maybe, could just delete Feather, than make it into a redirect. -- Sir Grodus

Super Mario RPG "Feather"[edit]

You get a Feather in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars during Mario's time in Nimbus Land. What should we do about that? - Smashgoom202 12:30, 16 September 2008 (EDT)

Mention it here, although I don't quite remember what the feather do in this game. --Blitzwing 15:31, 16 September 2008 (EDT)
If it's article-worthy, it shouldn't be mentioned here, since this article is called "Cape Feather". If it's not article-worthy, it could be mentioned here though I think. Time Questions 17:48, 16 September 2008 (EDT)

Why is it a redirect?[edit]

Why does the "Feather" page redirects to the Super Mario World's Cape Feather page? There are other feathers that exists in the Mario series, like the Feather in Super Mario RPG, or the Feathers used as ammo in Tiny Kong's Feather Bow. I think the Feather page should be its own article, and have something like "Not to be confused with Cape Feather" or something like that in it. --Metalex123 (talk) 13:46, 20 September 2018 (EDT)

Because they use the same design, and sometimes it is called Feather in Super Mario World. --Ski Yoshi FanOfYoshi A Dr. Freezegood 13:49, 20 September 2018 (EDT)
Um, the DK64 feathers don't look at all like the Cape Feather... I don't know for the SMRPG one, cause I never actually saw that one (I just saw it mentionned here). I still think there should be a page for regular feathers. --Metalex123 (talk) 14:22, 20 September 2018 (EDT)
Unless the DK64 feathers do something other than being shot out of the Feather Bow, that may go against MarioWiki:Generic subjects. But a disambiguation page could probably work? Alex95sig1.pngAlex95sig2.png 14:26, 20 September 2018 (EDT)
If that's the case, then the Coconut, Peanut, Grape, and Pineapple articles might need to be looked at. Same goes for the Apple and Egg articles. Toadette icon CTTT.pngFont of Archivist Toadette's signature(T|C) 14:33, 20 September 2018 (EDT)

Disambiguation?[edit]

So I was rechecking the Feathers articles and found at least 7 articles about feathers in the Mario and DK games, them being the Golden Feathers, the Wings from SM64DS, the Feather in Mario's Time Machine, the Cape Feather, the Feather Bow (I guess it would count :p), the Feather in Mario RPG, and the Zeekeeper's Feathers. Since we do have a lot of articles about feathers, shouldn't we change this redirect into a disambiguation page? Also I still don't get why the feather ammo for Tiny Kong's gun can't have an article (since all of the other ammos have pages), but I'm not here for that today :p --Metalex123 (talk) 13:30, April 28, 2019 (EDT)

Welp, since no one answered, I decided to make a disambiguation of this page. If you guys don't like it, you can revert it to a redirect, but I personally think it looks better as a disambiguation page, especially since there are a lot of different kind of feathers in Mario/DK games. --Metalex123 (talk) 19:06, May 3, 2019 (EDT)
