Kenji Yamamoto's Involvement[edit]

In this game's credits, I cannot find Kenji Yamamoto at all. Based on a bit of research, he is mainly a composer, but then this game does not list him or her in any of the roles. In fact, there are only two people involved with sound: Koichi Kyuma and Masaru Tajima. What is the source that Kenji Yamamoto is involved with this game?

Also, the page for this game's credits is recently added: List of Dr. Mario Express staff, in case anybody wants to see the credits for this game. Winstein (talk) 14:55, January 29, 2022 (EST)

OK, based on asking around, it came from here: https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/opic-cipo/cpyrghts/dtls.do?fileNum=1084400&type=1&lang=eng This is similar to how the involved parties worked on Dr. Mario: Miracle Cure is only known through a patent, but given this knowledge, they (Miracle Cure staff included in the patent) may not have been involved in developing the game. I have already removed the small section in this page, since the page with the actual credits is sufficient. Winstein (talk) 00:05, January 30, 2022 (EST)

Media Wanted?[edit]

Awhile back in the Discord, we asked why there was a Media Wanted template, seeing as this game's soundtrack is entirely identical to Dr. Mario Online Rx, just at a lower quality thanks to being on the DSi. We never really got a concrete answer as to if it was safe to remove the template, though. Would it be worthwhile to track down and upload those DSi-compressed versions anyways, should we put the already-uploaded Online Rx tracks in here, or should we just not bother and remove that template? The Life and Death of the Media Wanted Template[edit]

Brown Block This talk page proposal has already been settled. Please do not edit this section or its subsections. If you wish to discuss the article, please do so in a new section below the proposal.

Wiki Staff express approval to remove the wanted template.

Per the above section. Since the soundtrack for Dr. Mario Express is identical to that of Dr. Mario Online Rx, albeit lower quality, I think the Media Wanted template should be removed, since the tracks in question are technically already uploaded, in the form of the soundtrack to Dr. Mario Online Rx. The aim of this proposal is not to decide whether the tracks need to be added to this article, since I don't really have any way to upload DSi media files as of right now.. *laughs nervously* I'm just trying to figure out whether or not we need to keep this template.

DEATH TO THE TEMPLATE[edit]

  1. Grim Reaper (talk) Per proposal.
  2. Camwoodstock (talk) DEATH STALKS YOU AT EVERY TURN (Per ourselves in the original discussion; we've similarly discarded media templates for weird edge cases before, and the fact there is no meaningful difference in the music compared to Online Rx beyond bitrate feels like something you could express via text, rather than largely redundant media files.
  3. Rykitu (talk) KILL IT
  4. Waluigi Time (talk) No need to upload redundant music files, get it outta here.
  5. Mario (talk) .
  6. Power Flotzo (talk) Does this even need a proposal? Either way, per all.
